Writing from my vacation in Portugal! Over the years, I’ve kept many mini size/travel size containers when they are well made (thanks Sephora points, and brands promotions 😁). This way I transfer my regular skincare in smaller containers. I even reuse mini jam glass containers, and contact lens containers for eye cream! The Krave GBR is my holy grail!

For the contact wearers: use old or extra contact cases to put products where u only need a tiny bit and need to pack light or just to save space. This tip saved some of my trips where I needed to pack extremely light. Plus it’s a great way to use those random extra cases that often come with solution

love this! just one exception for me personally, I find I actually must bring my 2% salicylic acid exfoliant with me when I travel. I live in an area of Southern California where it’s super dry and when I visit places like Florida or the Northeast in the summer where average humidity is like 80%, my skin FREAKS out and gets crazy clogged and oily if I don’t exfoliate it

I just wanna say how much I love you and your videos. You are the one who got me into skincare- I used to sleep with my makeup on or on the good days just use a wipe to remove the makeup.. I came across your videos in December and holy cow- you’ve changed my life- I will never again go to bed with makeup, on the contrary I always look forward to the night for my night time skincare routine- double cleansing, exfoliating etc. I would love to see more videos about a whole week of skincare routine. There are so many products that shouldn’t be combined, it’s hard to know when in the skincare to use all those. I would love to see a whole week of skincare routines both AM and PMs.

Yaaas! I just went on a 10-day vacation in Europe which included a ~10 hr flight both ways. I brought one cleanser (tried & true Cerave), vitamin C serum, a sunscreen moisturizer for day time, and Cerave night time moisturizer. All in small bottles. I also hydrated like CRAZY & force -fed myself veggies and fruits while traveling. So important for your skin & immune system. My skin was glowing the whole time. I was shocked!

I’m definitely with you per travel sized products, I recently found these gems on Amazon that are these little squeeze pouch things that come in I think 10mL, 30mL, and another size, that are easy to wash out to switch up to another product so that I’m not just tossing them out. So far they’ve done multiple transatlantic flights with no leaks. My last trip was quite tricky skincare wise because I was flying out of Nashville at 95 degrees, midday, then 9hr flight arriving in the UK in time for morning there, after which I get a coach for 5-6hrs. Also uberring to the airport in Nashville, so although in the past I’ve been able to get away with doing my bedtime sleep routine prior to going to the airport, I had to have sunscreen on, and would have to put it on again before I got the coach. But guys don’t forget to comb through your skincare freebies or minis that you haven’t used/used up yet, and even then, like Hyram said, don’t pack a mini sized full skincare routine, for the most part something to cleanse (honestly, on a bumpy plane it’s going to be hard to double cleanse well, so I go with the philosophy that if there’s a little sunscreen left on or something once in a blue moon it’s not the end of the world), and then a moisturizer. Luckily I knew the terminal I was flying into had a store I was going to want to go to that’s sells (among a host of other skincare I was planning to buy- sunscreen). That’s another tip I have, if you are doing carry on only and there is something that there is no way to put something into a smaller package, scope out the airport you are landing in and see if they have any stores that you can work with. If you are doing a journey that is very long, don’t forget any layovers you might have- you might be flying out during the day, but your layover might be at night, and much better to cleanse on solid, still, ground. So yeah I can’t remember where I was going with this, but yeah, those sweezy bottles are on Amazon, and make packing so much easier. And I want to reinforce Hyram’s caution about heavy backpacks, just because you ‘can’ carry it, doesn’t mean you want to have to sprint through an airport with it on (or stand for 5hrs in the checkin line in Heathrow and then faint- yup, if anyone was in Heathrow on the 6th and saw some girl go splat, that was me 🤦‍♀️). And along the same line, keep drinking water, I like those ones that you can clip on and collapse or roll up, that way you can still be as environmentally friendly (per plastic water bottles) as possible- but do always check the safety of the drinking water for wherever you are going, sometimes even the fountain water isn’t always ok for everyone.

Oh and one more thing, while hotel products aren’t the best, if you can, please do take them and then find a way to donate them. My dad has travelled for work my whole life, and we always had a box in my parents bathroom that we would every now and then pack into little ‘sets’ and then go and give them out to people struggling with homelessness. I’m so greatful they modeled that for us, and me and my two siblings all have a box that we fill up and use in the same way. If you do no have a homeless population near you, or not an area you feel comfortable or safe going, you can likely find a company or nonprofit that will gladly accept them.
