You haven’t noticed? Words don’t have meanings anymore. In reality, Link is stoic and doesn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve, but they’re there for anyone looking for them. The second he draws the Master Sword he’s recognized as basically the second coming of Jesus to the people of Hyrule, and if he acts like an emotionally unstable 14 year old, everybody’s going to be afraid, people will stop doing their jobs, society will collapse as people flee to other kingdoms hoping for safety. In Zoomlish, Link is emotionless because he doesn’t throw tantrums and sob or whine about his feefees, and how it’s so discriminatory that the Gerudo won’t let him into their town and SO inappropriate they keep using their pronouns for him AND NOT HIS CHOSEN ONES! REEEE!! And that’s how we know people have emotions now! When they act solely on emotions they can’t control. Unlike Link, the bearer of the Triforce of Courage. Which OF COURSE has nothing to do with Link’s emotional control in Zoomlish; but in reality is a term literally used to describe an ability to control an emotion, in this case the ability to control one’s fear rather than be controlled by it. Anybody who knows what emotions are will realize they are visible on Link’s face. Young people just don’t know what words mean. And if you disagree, well you’re just a dirty, racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, bigoted Nazi Poopybutthole!!! How do any of those words apply? No clue! They’re just the buzzwords meant to make you feel bad about yourself this week! Because words no longer have any meaning, you silly white supremacist playing your Japanese games made by Japanese people in Japan!

Bit late but the thing about Link being emotionless usually stems from BotW and more from TotK, where they say that Link hardly has any sort of emotion for most of the games. While that’s not completely true, since in BotW Link has shown lots of emotions in various scenes, his stoicism is very apparent. But here in AoC, this Link has shown much more emotion than in the other two games, much more interaction with the other characters, and was even shown smiling.

Can someone explain the plot please, I don’t have the game and I don’t understand how all the champions are together? Also didn’t Link in the BOTW timeline get the mastersword when he was a kid?? (I may have confused this with fan theories)

The plot of Hyrule Warriors aoc revolves around a difference from botw, that being Terrako. Terrako is the tiny egg sized and shaped guardian that follows Zelda. Terrako is a creation of Zelda when she was a child and he travels to the "past" through a portal he creates during the events of botw when zelda awakens her powers. With future knowledge of the calamity, he informs in his own way about the following events of botw and sends help through his time" traveling capabilities (what I mean by "help" are the future champions, Teba, Tulin, Sidon, Yunobo, and Riju). This information helps the heroes preventing the deaths of the champions and king of Hyrule. But the thing is Hyrule warriors isn't canon, to the timeline or the pre-story of botw since its a spinoff. What you heard about Link gaining the master sword a 12 was canon proven by the Creating a Champion book. aoc included and changed things that weren't in botw such as Sooga, Astor, and Terrako, the champions being able to flurry rush because they couldn't do that in botw proven by Mipha's and Daruk's diary and journel (but thats more of a game mechanic in aoc, not integrated into the lore of aoc unlike Link who is canonized to have the ability in both aoc and botw), and other things. Btw if you see or listen people saying aoc Link is stronger than botw link, they're wrong, amnesia doesn't affect skill only memories, not knowledge, thats how people aren't stupid when they have a concussion. The future champions even state aoc Link is equal to botw Link.
