Can't believe so much time has passed since the game came out. In all this time, in every cutscene, Link was portrayed as something of an unstoppable force with courage fueling every strike of his sword. Confident. Focused. Precise. Always on guard to keep Zelda safe. In all that time we forget, and Zelda's voice resonated in my mind that day to what she told him when he took down 3 Lynels and multiple other enemies. As brave as you are, that does not make you immortal. That courage however held his crumbling body together. Through pain of the wounds inflicted on him. Through the despair and hopelesness Zelda felt that day. Himself and his sword were the only thing keeping her from harm. Had Link lost heart that day, I don't think Zelda would have ever awakened her power. While he had personality and shown bravery multiple throughout this franchise, I personally think Link's courage was never portrayed as strongly as in Breath of the Wild's scenes, especially against such overwhelming odds tied against him. And seeing Zelda break after she finally unlocked her power through what she thought was his life with that final look he gifted her, one of apology and relief that she would be fine... Truly a great scene and one of my favorites in this game.

@@ShadowSans666 I just finished Skyward Sword again, and I'm fresh off of losing Fi. I am kind of on the verge of just crying, hearing this. I didn't know Fi's presence was still this prevalent in BoTW. Nintendo are masters of their craft.
@ShadowSans6663 жыл бұрын
@@KeifersIsAwesome Yeah, I have a theory that could explain why they decided to make Skyward Sword HD. Judging from Fi's presence in Botw and the floating sky islands in the Botw 2 trailer, not to mention the almost constant throwback to the legend of old in Botw. I think Skyward Sword's plot has a big role in Botw 2, which is one of the big reasons Nintendo remade the game. They seemed to mainly go for fixing any issues that people had with the game. Almost like they wanted people who originally passed up on it to give it another shot. I'm sure it wasn't the easiest adapting all of those controls and making it work for a button only style. But they sure as heck went out of their way to do it. But idk maybe they just did it for the Zelda anniversary and I'm reading way too far into this.
@KeifersIsAwesome3 жыл бұрын
@@ShadowSans666 I would love if that's the case. Honestly, I'm so used to motion controls at this point, I still used them for HD. They're honestly one of the most satisfying motion controls in a game for me. I don't know really why anyone had trouble with them.
@ShadowSans6663 жыл бұрын
@@KeifersIsAwesome Me too, I never really understood why the motion controls were so widely hated. But I have been replaying it on HD and since I don't use joycons because of drift, I've been playing button controls as a result. They definitely did pretty good with adapting the controls. Sometimes the controls are a bit weird since they do vary some from a normal Zelda game (let's just go with TP as an example). But it's nothing impossible to get used to, ntm the free camera is pretty neat.

The fact that Zelda threw herself infront of Link knowing that her powers weren’t awakened and didn’t think about if they would or not, her only concern what that she had to protect him after all that time he had spent protecting her. She would die before letting anything happen to Link. That is heartbreaking, but just so beautiful to me. Their bond didn’t start out close in the slightest, in fact she almost hated him. But to see their relationship blossom to where Zelda would rather die than see another person she cared about be killed nearly reduces me to tears. Maybe in the child timeline after Link is sent back to childhood in Ocarina of Time since they basically prevented Ganondorf's rise to power. Zelda was still in Hyrule, seemingly living peacefully when Link left for Termina, and nothing was directly stated as to what what happened to her or Link for that matter post Majora's Mask not counting Heroes Shade.
@savageratentertainment7 ай бұрын
I've noticed.....unlike past Zelda's before her, she uses the ENTIRE triforce power, she doesn't use just triforce of Wisdom, meaning she has them all, unlike in the past which explains why Link doesn't have his courage triforce and "ganon" whose basically just demise doesn't need the trifroce of power because he was already a demon anyway, which is why he's known as the demon king. And in that moment she both gained courage to go against the enemy, wisdom to know immediately what to do, and giving her power to wistand the enemy's attack. Besides the Zelda in Skyward Sword being Literally Hylia reborn, this Zelda can literally be rated as the strongest Zelda because she has obtained not her iconic wisdom but all of them.

Even though the models don't accurately show it, Robbie and Purah tell Link it was them.
@rudysarmiento8700Ай бұрын
@@user-ll8lw6jy3l I think there's a lot of sheikah carrying Link to the shrine, they probably bad every warrior near Link at all times, with many dying to guardians, lynels, and other terrifying monsters to buy time for Robbie, Purah, Impa, and many more to deliver Link to the shrine. Those 2 who originally receive the order, they may be another casualty in a sea of blood and shadows. And that's also why we never see many warriors in kakariko (basically only Dorian and Kado), they all died fighting to their final breath for the hero, for Hyrule, for Hylia.

At the beginning of Skyward Sword (the beginning of the Zelda timeline), Fi is already ancient technology. She was given a single purpose, to aid the hero. In Breath of the Wild (eons later and the last game in the Zelda timeline), The faint voice from the sword (the fading power of Fi) instructs Zelda to take Link to the Shrine of Resurrection. Fi, a misunderstood character from Skyward Sword, is literally the one who saves Link and all of Hyrule in Breath of the Wild.
@Zyaire2862 жыл бұрын
Not sure if FI survives in Tears of the Kingdom, the sword saw cover with malice and then later broke in the later teasers. Based from the artwork, the sword is split into damage(top) and cover with the power of the entity(long hair lady, possibly midna or someone else)with Zelda.

I always see this as a companion to the Yiga/Zelda memory when Link saves Zelda. Here we see that while Link is the hero, Zelda is needed too. They're a team.
@a.jthomas6132 Жыл бұрын
They are much more than a team. Their relationship have a rocky start. Until Zelda begins to bond with Link and learned he shares the similar burden she has. Overtime, their friendship grows stronger until to the point her love for her knight is what awakened her powers. Whether you notice it or not, there is a ton of built ups for their romance.

This memory is triggered in a field of fallen guardians and old weapons everywhere. There was an epic battle and you know Link died kicking some ass. Like an older memory with Link having a scratch on him with Lynels and Hoblins laying everywhere dead.

I thought it was awesome hearing Fi's sound and Fi's theme in the background. I love that Fi is still in the sword to tell Zelda that Link will survive. In TOTK Zelda refers to the Master Sword as a "she" in one of the memories. I think she and Link know about the spirit inside the sword, and Fi knows how to heal it, which is why she sent it to the past.

Link is deadly wounded, the Master-Sword is fatally damaged, but Zelda saved both of them. Fi gave Zelda the Hint to bring Link to the Shine of resurrection and then brought the Master-Sword back to it's Pedestal to recover from the Damage. But jeez, not even me believed that the Master-Sword would get any physical damage. In NONE OTHER GAME OR ERA did the Master-Sword get any physical Damage, not even if it had to face the Anti-Master-Sword of Demise. There is a special reason why these guardians and divine beasts are supposed to stop the Calamity: They couldn't seal the Demonking himself but the Physical Damage they cause would be even a threat to the Master-Sword, that was one created by Hylia but had to be reforged by humans to make Link able to use it.

I love this scene for two reasons... 1, it really sells just how powerful of a hero Link is by just showing all the guardians he defeated by hand while defending Zelda and STILL having the courage to get back up when another shows. It is practically jaw dropping. 2, Zelda's resolve in that dire moment to protect Link. Both very badass moments for both characters. I love it.

When I first played he game, I knew about the memories but never about the secret one. When I saw this scene I realized something that I have never seen before in any game I've ever played. Its kinda hard to explain what it was but its something. Maybe having a relationship with someone? Idk. Just look at Zelda. You hate him...You're acting nicer to him...You're in love with him. Then the guy dies and wakes up and remembers nothing. This scene just hits hard. I'm not asking for likes I'm just saying how I felt during this scene
