There’s a place near the Hyrule castle called “The Minshi Woods” and I know the spelling isn’t the same but maybe those woods were meant to hold their settlement? Think about it, there are a lot of places in BOTW whose names are references to other Zelda games with the names changed ever so slightly, for example Mekar Island is 100% a reference to Makar from Wind Waker, even though the spelling is different. What I think would be cool in a Zelda game is a "calendar." Essentially npc dialogue and activity changes over time depending on the location, time of day, and most of all time of year. Villages hold festivals and other such events, side quests appear and disappear during certain times of year, and so on and so forth. That way it'd be possible to see more relevant active references to past games. Normally we just see items, names, and locations that reference older games, with some variation. However, with such a calendar there can be the Picori festival and other such events with associated side quests and different dialogue and activity from npc.

While in principle that sounds neat, I don't think it can be done story wise in a game wherein time does not really change aside from the day night circle and the occasional blood moon (in Hyrule it seams to be perpetual summer, different climates are associated to specific regions). To incorporate returning events like a festival or seasons, several years would have to pass in-game. It could be a recurring festival that is held every month (on the full moon for example) but that would make it very repetitive. Try to imagine taking several in-game years to unlock Zelda from her self-imposed prison/fighting Ganon. Link would age in that time. I think he was 18 when the calamity hit Hyrule and Zelda was 17. He'd be in his mid-twenties when you finish the game. It would make the love story between them kind of awkward.

So, for the Gorons and Gerudo, the way we were able to gain access to their settlement was through acquiring an outfit (gerudo vai outfit and fire-proof armor), I would guess that perhaps there could have been a minish outfit that could shrink you? so you could gain access to their village and get the quest to unlock their divine beast. Maybe even a hat/headpeice paying further reference to the minish cap/Ezlo. Of course, that would certainly change the purpose of their champion ability, but maybe some other aspect of the picori could play into that (Or just something having to do with their specific champions skills, like Mipha's grace or Urbosa's Fury. The zora aren't known as particularly amazing healers, and I doubt any of the other gerudo know how to shoot lighting haha). I'm ok with how they went with things. At least in comparison to removing one of the major races and swapping them out with the Minish. If they manage to bring them into the sequel that's perfectly fine. And I'm sure they can do something good with them. Could certainly have been interesting to have them there on top of what we already got with an extra champion and maybe even a miniature divine beast to check out.

I don't remember if it was Robbie's or Pura's lab, but there was what looked like a model aquatic Divine Beast hanging from the ceiling. Can you imagine learning from the Minish that their champion was murdered by a Blight Ganon IN that model, which was in fact a real Divine Beast for the Minish, and gifted Link the ability to shrink to their size to travel through it to defeat Tinyblight Ganon? While Robbie/Pura continues his/her research, Link is fighting for his life against a Ganon the size of a thimble on his/her ceiling. That would have been comical.

It would've been interesting if the Minish ability was to shrink down to their size, like you said- And perhaps that could significantly increase your stealth- to a point you can't be seen by enemies at all (save for certain triggered enemies like in highrule castle) or if it gave to some kind of increased evasiveness- where monsters are less able to hit you

Link's motorcycle is said to be the fifth divine beast, and due to it being smaller in comparison, it could fit that role. I honestly feel like the bike should have been part of the main game, and if the kokiri and it were connected somehow, it would make sense as to why it was dlc.

I feel like it would be a great opportunity to add minish (or tiny people) to botw2 because it would be fun to visit and explore more villages around hyrule without taking up as much space as an actual village. Especially since there were only a few true villages around the huge map of hyrule (excluding the stables because they’re only basically a single room). Plus the idea just seems like a lot of fun😅

I think it would have been really cool to have the minish in the game but like they would live in each town like Rito village, Zora domain, Gerudo Town, Hateno Village etc or even just in regular locations and I think it would have been really cool to add the Minish Cap to make link small because it would be very useful in maybe stealth missions but.. everything is like 1000x bigger to climb and u don’t cover a lot of ground also if in the case a enemy did spot u they would try and stomp u out and it would be cool if u could still do damage to them with tiny bows and swords by climbing on them and smacking them with it as they panic to try and get u off and it would be really good just to sneak up on a enemy and take it off and sneak strike them and even shield surfing would be cool but since ur tiny with the smaller weapons you have u wouldn’t do a lot of damage so ur weapons will take a heck of a long time to break when small and I think it would have made a lot of cool challenge ideas for the game if they added it and it worked like that like can u beat BOTW while being tiny or can fight (enemy name) while small. Edit: I hope they add this to Zelda breath of the wild 2 maybe as a DLC?? Or just in the game also it would be kinda funny to get some dialogue from NPCs if u tried talking to them while being really small similar to the tingle clothing set

If they do bring the picori back in the sequel, maybe we'd be able to have one as a guide type character. Haha! Someone to tell you about enemies or maybe help you find your way around picori villages. Haha! I'd imagine that glowing hand will replace a few sheikah slate abilities, so maybe they'll get rid of it. I didn't look to see if zelda and link had those in the teaser though. Haha! If they do get rid of it though, a picori guide would be cool I think. Haha! And now that you mention it, tarrey town does seem like the perfect place for them to live. Especially the plant pots. new song for the minish!! in many times when we are in need a hero came. we noticed the calamity, hyrule was at its weakest, when we lost hope, our hero was chosen, "zelda's knight" but he was not alone. 4 champions, gerudo, zora, goron, rito, we had a 5th, the minish, lost in time! but the hero failed, leaving us nearly hopless, 100 years passed. minish still un-noticed cut the grass, the rupees you find, left by one, we'll never find. that is, less than a quarter our size. aided the second hero, in his journy! ____________________________________________________________________________ | | |kass: like it? Yeah i think so too. I assume that originally they were going to have the Sheikah pilot their own Divine Beast before they changed to the Gerudo for some unknown reason. Ironically this change makes me wonder why didn't the Sheikah still have a Divine Beast that represented them? 🤔 ¿Maybe the one that's supposedly buried under Hyrule Castle is in fact also the one that belongs to the Sheikah? 😮

What if the Minish's champion offered Link the ability to shrink on command. Their Divine beast could be small and it terrorizes the Akkala region, it'd be no bigger then a bear lets say, and Link finds out about the Minnish. The Minnish's fifth Divine beast would be the most advanced since it's so compact. After finding the Minnish capital Link would earn their trust by using brewed potions he's make to shrink down in the four main kingdoms to find out of reach ingredients. Then he'd meet a descendent of the champion who'd be all about wanting to get HUGE to fight the beast but being stuck with an uncontrollable power to grow and shrink to normal size: Link and them would stealthily find the beast until Link can tame it and lure it to a trap. Once done he'd drink the potion to board the beast, solve some puzzles, and beat the Calamity. The divine beast could even aim at the castle, even if it looks a little silly since it's so small. He'd get a flashback showing him the tricky champion and show them spar. Popping in and out around the hero the champion would use their whip to try and disarm Link. But failing to pull the Master Sword from him would end up being flung around by him until being forced to shrink and flee. Giving up the champion applauds the hero. Teasing him about disarming him but that in a real fight he can't let his guard down, popping in front of the hero inches from his face making Link jump back as he laughs. Now Link has a new ability and a weapon set! The ability allows him to go into obvious areas to shrink to find treasure, Korok seeds, food, or pathways that can be used to sneak behind enemies camps or even into Highrule Castle. While the whip can be used to lasso objects to the heroes inventory. Link can disarm enemies with a well timed and aimed attack or even tie up small enemies to switch to another weapon to beat them with. Heck the whip can even act as a way to help him climb as a way to swing. So not only does this use the regions right but it does so much more. The player is encouraged to explore small details of each region, make elixirs, tame horses, use stealthy options, and use a new weapon type while building the world of Highrule. Jesus this video rocks. It's a lot to add though and with physics engine problems plus pressure releasing on time. It's fun to speculate.

When you talked about a possible picori champion and their divine beast, I remembered some fanart someone made of Saria and minish cap Vaati as breath of the wild champions. Like, Saria being the kokiri (korok) champion and Vaati being the minish champion. They're even wearing the blue that the champions wear (Its a little harder to see the blue on Vaati but its like an undershirt and you can see it near the sleeves) I know that its not cannon and just some fanart someone made, but it looks cool and makes me wander into imagining all sorts of things that could've happened in botw if the minish were in the game and the koroks had a champion.

I think they would add humour like the picori having the biggest divine beast but having that divine beast underground in the great plateau as a way to teach how to think about the divine beast puzzle like how the plateau is just a really elaborate/disguised tutorial.
@Poppliopup4 жыл бұрын
i think it'd have been fun if instead of a traditional "champion" you instead find a self appointed minish champion that is trapped inside of a broken down guardian and you're given the ability to shrink down so you can rescue him life a mini dungeon on the plateau to teach you the mechanics and then throughout your adventure you come across other special guardians you can enter and maybe even pilot how sick would it be to travel the land using a Skywatcher? maybe you'd have to shrink as you're falling and try to aim so you land on it's back

Something to think about is how the Picori can only be seen by children because of them having pure hearts and the mini Divine Beast in Hateno Tech Lab. Then the fact that Purah turned herself into a child, I know this is completely coincidental but it'd be fun to think that the original idea for her being child wasn't to stay alive to see Link again but to actually talk to the Picori while looking after the Picori Divine Beast, maybe to do research on it and develop a new function for the Sheikah Slate with her Guidance Stone that would allow Link to shrink himself to the size of the Picori to enter the Divine Beast and also to talk to the Picori. Also another cool convenience is the fact you need a pure heart to see them and her name is Purah 😂

Just a theory. The minish might be buried underground with their own potential divine beast also located underground. And probably the only link to their world are those big holes found on the gerudo mountains and at the yiga clan where the yiga boss felt down. But it is just a theory.

Wanna know what I think? I bet the Picori would have had the same role as the Koroks. Think about it... Picori hide stuff in grass, and put little medals for Hylians to find. That sounds just like Korok seeds (something that is brand new to botw, Koroks never used seeds like that before). Perhaps after they scrapped the size-changing mechanic they swapped the Picori with Koroks to fill the same purpose (just without the size change).
@darkhysteriaraven5063 жыл бұрын
I think if the Minish had been added and I don't know why but I think the perfect design for a Divine Beast for their champion to pilot would have been a rabbit. And for how you would have to go about getting on to it or finding it could be a bit of a challenge. Maybe Link could have shrunk down and with another Piccori would have to chase it down and they could use maybe a homemade whip of sorts to hold them in place while attacked one of the defense on its body that kept you from getting onto the beast. For a Blight Gannon, I don't know what element they'd have but the weapon could be a whip of sorts that could be used in someway against it too 1.) You just hit it back with your sword or parry it or 2.) when the Blight uses the whip throw a bomb at the same time while moving out of the way so the whip grabs the bomb and slights it back at the Blight exploding in its face. (sorry, this is late and also so long.
