YOU CAN NEVER COME TO THIS PLACEは何度聞いても感動する。。
fave things about this: 1. Obviously, that rainbow guitar shredding and the rainbow glitter hairdo 2. Those planks of wood 3. That smiling girl with the cool makeup on the keyboard

The smiling girl is Izumi "Mimi" Kobayashi. She released some great bossa nova oriented albums like "Orange Sky Endless Summer".
I lived in Okinawa in 1980 while in the USAF, and I came across this album -- so happy to have discovered it. It was on my turntable regularly, as it brought me alot of joy in a very difficult time. I love all the thematic melodies and fantastic sound. What a fantastic album and musicians. Great composition each song and as a whole - tight and in the pocket, restrained and musically lush. This album has contributed to my musically enlightenment. Thank you Masayoshi Takanaka!

RG is a delight. I think of it as the companion album to 'The Adventures of the Astral Pirates' by Lenny White.
Even with the masks on you can tell how much they are all into it, amazing performance and music chemistry!

I worked at Federated Group in Montclair California, and we had this on repeat in our Kloss Novabeam demo room for years. I know every note by memory but it doesn't get old.
You know when he puts that guitar in his hands, he sees, feels and hears something completely different than we do. Every colour of the rainbow imaginable.
Insanely good album. I can't stress how much I admire Takanaka's playing and composition. It makes me really sad I'll never see a show like this live, the last song has become my favorite song for the past couple of months. Beautiful beyond words.

He will play again this performance at Tokyo Budokan in November, 2021. I am sure that it will be a great and historic performance.

@@kayoakazawa9407 unfortunately I’ve discovered him too late… I’ll for sure be present at his next event. Please, takanaka-san!!
I went into swamp cinema on gmod and got stopped by some invisible guy in a brony hat who wanted to show me something and showed me this and told me to get high and and enjoy, best decision I’ve ever made

Arguably the best guitar player on the planet , here at his absolute best at the peak of his classic albums, watched this on LSD and haven’t been the same guitar player since.

This is another one of those concerts I put on as background noise initially, but became so captivated I hadn't realized I watched the whole thing. What a performance!

One of the greatest contributions humans ever made. Thank you masayoshi. Your music will live on far past the demise of this planet. You transcend life. I wish you only the best. Thank you.

My host brother attended this performance, and we watched the DVD after we came home from a massive night out. So smooth! Takanaka is a legend.

It's strange how serious he looked when he was young compared how jolly he is in post 2000
