When I was young I never dreamed that one day the guitarist of Grim Reaper would teach me a Def Leppard song. Thanks for making dreams come true that I didn’t know I had.

I’m turning 51 soon and been playing guitar since I was 11 dad taught me simple guitar chords and little by little people I’ve known taught me more and more and now you got videos like this that not only teach but make you understand what they are teaching you. Thank you bruh Do scorpions !!! I’ve always been a 80’s music fan judging by my age lol.

Hey Nick! I have no idea if you read the comments, but I wanted you to know I thought this was an outstanding guitar lesson. I’m around your age and I remember having teachers in school that I just didn’t understand and learning was very difficult, but then there were that select few teachers, that everything they said seemed to click with me and I excelled, no matter what the subject. I wanted you to know it is that way with you. It seemed that I understood 100% of everything you taught, almost before you said it, because I understand your train of thought. I’ve learned from many guitar teachers on You Tube, but none were as clearly understood as you. The way you show the chord charts and break down every note with the picking pattern is excellent. I only hope you make many more videos because they will be greatly appreciated. Sweetwater has a great asset in you my friend! And I love your accent and your sense of humor, I get it, Lol! 😎👍🎸

I love the way you explain the exact particulars of what you are doing. Best teacher I've seen on the internet. You even tell the exact strings you are hitting, this makes it very easy to follow you. Very through indeed. 54 years old and still lovin' Def Leppard. Perhaps you can upload how to play "photograph". Do you do lessons? Thank you very much

I used to think I was hearing the same 3 muted notes and I also heard the first phrase coming in on top if itself the same as you do, maybe coming in from a slow delay or layered guitar. BUT, what is really played in bar 1 is the A string to D string to open G string to D string then BACK TO OPEN G. It's as if the first open G is dotted. So it's a 5 note phrase followed by the traditional bar 2. In other words the clean guitar is playing what the distorted guitar plays in the second half of the verse. There may be a slow delay reflecting the first phrase popping in the space between the open G to D string back to open G. Give it a try and best of all things to ye matie! Aarrgghh - Pirate Phil
