Hey Mike your Volvo has everything that Hyundai has and Volvo has had most of the things you think are great on this machine for more than 10 years. If you want to set in a nice wheel loader you should check out the new Volvo. The removable cover on the counter weight.

I think people are going to be surprised as more heavy equipment moves to CVT style transmissions. Being able to keep the engine at the RPM it produces peak power no matter the machine's speed, is going to make it more fuel efficient and get power to the ground better.

Kleeman was being very positive about the loaner they gave you to play with. It was kind of weird because he was praising the machine's balance and it was a 'zero-tail-swing' design. I'm guessing he was saying the balance was great considering it didn't have and overhanging counter weight. Thinking about it, that removable rear panel was only possible because of the lack of a big sticking out counter weight. Mike you were way more eloquent about these Hyundai machines than Chris Guins has ever been about Volvos, and you ended up buying a Volvo. It's a strange old world. We'll all be interested to hear your thoughts on the loaner, even if most of us are never going to see the inside of an excavator.
@Crewsy4 жыл бұрын
Trevor Dennis Captain Kleeman praising the balance was because he could easily lift a 4000 pound concrete block at nearly full extension of the boom. Something he knew the 120 couldn’t seem to do as well even with the extra counterweight added to the machine. As for why Mike bought the Volvo instead of a Hyundai, I think that’s been explained once or twice.

Lol lol Mike u can get in the loader and get a bj. Thanks for showing us the equipment u looked at hear at the show. I do like just what I heard and seen about that loader. Thanks a million buddy. I also like the l9ck out system on that. I wish others had that big time. That's one thing that made me mad about others operating equipment and not returning back to the way the one that ran it the most and had it all set. But that comes with many operators. Have a great weekend this weekend Nov 19th. Have a great thanks giving too and the same to ur family.

Mmm cvt won't run it hell if Honda can't do it without problems Hyundai heavy equipment won't but a cargo ship engine. Plus how much does the belt weigh
@Crewsy4 жыл бұрын
gavin hirt In a machine that requires weight to balance and lift I don’t think the CVT belt weight is an issue. As for Honda having CVT issues that’s news to me.

If you. Need a. Side editor for Hyundai let me know lol. Ive owned one loader and. 6 excavators most bought new i could tell yha the good news and bad news of Hyundai. Lol. They have been a decent machine. They certainly are no. Hitachi. Wich ive also owned alot. And keep in mind. Hitachi has always made there own pumps and swings and finals. And are bullet proof. , ive had some Hyundai stuff fly apart , prematurely. But there cheaap. To buy. I cant believe there backto Cummins, they had them in dash 7 models. Then went to Mitsubishi. Then to perkins. Now back to cummins , Mitsubishi best they have used. Excavator with Cummins will eat ten extra gallons of fuel a day. Looks like that new loader is back to a volvo axle ? I would let someone else try extended arm. Might throw balance off

I think taking the turbo off added miles to the life of the engine as turbo stands for troubles coming. I like what that turbo can do and it has its good side too, but for wear and tear, no turbo and then the machine has prebent directional plumbing making it easy to put back on should that horrible day come when the hiccup occurs.. since redesigning the engine and pumps, I doubt they lose much on lift... but where does it stand with power on the boom to sideshift the dirt with side of bucket? Can you push hard enough to say tip small trees with no tap root over? Most don't have much more than a size ten rubber boot. In fact it looks so nice, I might wear my dump truck attire just to run. Hat off of course.........

As soon as he said it has a CVT transmission in it we could stop talking about it. It would have to have a 100% life time warranty.

Hi 72+HourBob, In the USA, the HL975 Hyundai Wheel Loader comes standard with the ZF Powershift transmission. For more information on specs, visit www.hceamericas.com/z-bar-xt-wheel-loaders/hl975. The HL975A CVT Wheel Loader on display at ConExpo in this video is a prototype and not launching in the USA at this time. My 160. With. 6 cyl is. Far better on fuel. Then my 160. With hyped up 4 cyl same machine both Hyundai. I will take the 6 cyl. But cant get anymore.
@DirtPerfect4 жыл бұрын
Interesting
@Crewsy4 жыл бұрын
Turbocharging a 4 cylinder engine gives you power and efficiency. Just not at the same time. In a car it can work well since you only really need the power to accelerate and when you just cruise along at the speed limit the 4 cylinders are enough to keep you going. Where people complain about the lack of good mileage is usually because of a lead foot and the turbo is always adding boost and the ECU adds fuel. On a machine like an excavator where you set the rpm and run for long periods of time you might want to see if you can do the same work at a lower rpm and save fuel. I bet your older machine operates at a lower rpm than you’re operating your newer machine thus burning more fuel.

Dennis Dubois The ConExpo happened back when everyone was just figuring out what should be done for physical distancing. Volvo made the decision to not have any employees on site.
