This looks like a 30-50km accident, but its sad that there were no airbags deployed but the engine bay has absorbed most of the damage and looking at the interior the people would have survived with at least minor injuries. I guess it would get a 3 star crash rating.

That's known as the Crumple Zone or Impact zone ,it's designed in such a way that ,the impact will not reach passenger cabin,Wearing seat belt is very important because seat belts are integrated with Air bags ,if you don't wear seat while driving the signal will not go to airbags in case of accident...you can't blame manufacturer the air bags didn't function...so always use seat belt.

Build quality is better than Suzuki but not comparable with Tata.. however I have Exter sx Amt version.. the overall performance is far better than punch.. reliable, less body roll compared to punch. Seat comfort and AC performance is also very good . Engine is far better than punch .. after sales service of Tata is very bad over here .

But what about the safety/ crash ratings. Unfortunately none of the Hyundai, Kia and Maruti cars are safe as compared to Tata, Mahindra, Honda and Skoda/ VW. These car manufacturers are working on the aesthetics by giving 360 degree camera, Panoramic sunroof, Cooled glovebox, ventilated seats, AMT/ CVT/ DCT etc. But doesn't want to work on the safety aspects which is most crucial and paramount. Having lesser mileage but a 5 star NCAP rating would give more joy in long run.
