Well i read all the comments and most are praising altroz. I drove both the cars for test drive and i20 feels more comfortable for sure. And 1 more aspect which none of the reviewers tell is the after sales service, and in that case tata is a big failure. Its services are more costly and are very poor too, so that is a very big factor. So when we purchase the car at that time i20 is way costly, and in the long run altroz will create problems because of poor service network and costly spare parts.

Absolutely love the exterior looks, best looking car in the segment. Interior is okay-ish, not a fan of all black interiors. People just seeing 'hatchback' and claiming 'overpriced'. Dude, have a look at features it offers! Don't buy Asta(o) (with sunroof and 6 airbags, which only come with this car), and you are in similar range as other cars.

Yes true the extra 1.5 Lakhs over altroz , baleno , Figo etc in 1.2 petrol one also gets an electric sunroof , 6 airbags and most people don’t mention these notable features like esp , vehicle stability , traction control in a hatchback , 10,25 inch much advanced infotainment with connected tech if we value these features only combined it comes out to be around 1.4-1.6 lakhs and I am missing many more I guess

Petrol 1.2 engine waala i20 is in between 8-11 lakhs on road(magna, sports, asta and asta(o) variants) in my town, whereas baleno is in between 7- 9.32 (sigma,delta,zeta and alpha variants) . It’s ‘overpriced’ for a reason. In my town, i20 sports variant is 9.1 lakhs on road, and gives nearly all the same features as baleno alpha variant, which is 9.4 lakhs on road.

Main reason is that its thinner sheet metal lets more vibration pass through it. So, the NVH experienced inside the cabin is still not as great as I20.

just see the new i20 in showroom. I have baleno alpha model. when I sit in the drivers seat , I realised it is very narrow . and feel shorter space than my baleno. At rear also it is not specious. steering wheel is also small in size. and really not feeling a pricy hatchback car. Baleno is far ahead in terms of space interior and cabin space. Also as all said this i20 is very expensive too....I think it is a big flop for hyundai.

1.5 petrol engines in a hatchback means more cess and taxes it would have costed then starting price from 7.50 lakhs not 6.70 lakhs , that’s why all hatchbacks have 1197 or 1198 cc engine just under 1.2 and diesel sales in hatchback segment is 10% so and diesel automatic at the same price is available in ecosport , sonet , xuv300 etc that’s why diesel automatic makes no sense in this car

Thoroughly disappointed. Paying more than 10 lacs for base automatic (Sportz IVT) is a huge scam. Hyundai is literally trying to milk the Indian consumers. Obnoxious pricing. After paying this big a premium, the Sportz variant doesn’t even get any of the routine features of this segment like Climate Control AC, Rear Wiper, Button Start, Lack of adjustable headrest etc etc
