Really Great Upload... My Daughters car an Hyundai IX20 was spitting out codes and the money light came on... random Miss Fire of the Number three Cylinder cylinder and random miss fire on that Coil... the older senior mechanic just fired a new plug at it, telling her to drive it away to see what other things kicked off charging me no money... but a young Techie reading those codes wanted to order up a Coil ... telling me that was the problem, it settled a little but came back twas still driving ,"Lumpy" then two weeks later the light came up again ... this time Random miss fires on a few cylinders, plus low /no revs on the 'Tacho' with a P0335 code pointing to the area of a Crank shaft position sensor ...same was order and replaced no problems since... just shows one could be replacing good parts for no reason...as you showed you must diagnose and not go down the route of selecting the first thing...

Hey malachy1847, Glad to hear you've got the little Hundy going again. I hate throwing parts at a vehicle. The data should tell you with reasonable confidence that you have the correct part to replace. There are always the curly ones that throw you, but you have to follow the data, not the money. 😊

Ive got one for you which may be a common issue on these cars. Long cranking of engine, no matter if hot or cold. After a few attempts at starting, it will eventually fire up. One mechanic said they don't know for sure, but could be a crank angle sensor, but not guaranteed it will fix issue

Yes that could be a problem, but I wouldn't just guess and replace the part. I would scan for fault codes and then check for an AC signal output from the sensor first with an oscilloscope. Let us know what you find. 👍

hi, great video.i did find whole video easy to follow.iused multimeter but i find a Faulty coil pack. thanks very much. i was wondering which probe you use to check for voltage.

In this case, I was using 'Dress making' pins, but you can use multimeter acupuncture probes.

It could have been worse. He could have taken the driver out of it in the ecu. Nice video and explanation.

Hello Sir I have the same model i2O and my engine is vibrating like yours at the beginning though at the end of your video you didn't show if is still vibrating....or is it the vibration is normal or is an indication of misfiring?
@MiracleMAX11 ай бұрын
The engine shouldn't be vibrating. Does it lack power, feel rough or idle strange? Does it have any fault codes?
