I don't think fast shifting necessarily make the car go faster...there's clutching and gasing technique come into play and at the right rpm.

Personally, I think your gearshifts were nothing short of masterful. But the acceleration from rest would also be affected by tire temperatures as well as the road surface, so that may make a slight difference. Impressive drive!

@@rolexr Anscheinend geht dies bei manchen Fahrzeugen. Mein Vater hatte einen Opel Corsa C mit 1 Liter Motor gehabt, alter Schwede konnte man da die Gänge reinzimmern! Das hatte schon einen sehr geilen Funfaktor! Ein Kollege von mir saß neben mir und er konnte es kaum glauben, wie ich die Gänge reinprügelte! Er konnte nicht mehr vor Lachen, weil er sowas noch nie gesehen hatte. Der Wagen ging dann, im Top Zustand von uns! Getriebe, Motor, alles lief noch Einwandfrei!

What about the reliability of Kia and Hyundai? I originally wanted a Ford Focus ST but my mechanic said ‘DON’T’ and advised me to get the Hyundai i30 N Performance instead. True / Not true? At least you have personal experience with Kia which is pretty much same ad Hyundai?

I own 3rd gen FoST(2018) and before buying it I went through countless ratings/forums/boards to gather as much info on reliability as I could and from what I've got the focus st is very-very reliable, apart from some problems with turbos in early models (2013-2014).

Mark Kimask I think he spoke in general but I will ask him again. He said the car is designed for 3 years and after that things start to go wrong. I would buy a Ford ST 3 from 2019. I dont really like the look of the Ford after 2019 and they are too expensive. I also did my research and everybody said it’s pretty reliable.

100 km/h in 6.2 seconds is a bit weak isnt it? My cla 220 has only 190 HP and it takes 6,9 seconds from 0-100. Well from 100 to 200 the fastback is way faster but thats what i expect from a car with 85 HP more... Anyway i think hyundai did a great job with this car, looking forward to the 2020 facelift

Yesterday i tried this with my Audi A4 3.0 TDI 2010 with 235.000km... Stage 1 (Soft Edition) with a Weigth of 1950kg it made 0-100 in 6,47 sec. :) (PS Transmission Automatic without double Clutch)

Yes they arent that fast. Quick enough though. Carwow did a race with one against an 1997 bmw 328i, and the bmw was ahead for quite a while as i recall. Which was surprising considering a 328i is 193bhp.
