Hyundai i40 2012 Door lock Problem & Solution

Worked on a 2012 Hyundai i40. It was the front passenger door, so there were a few differences. - There were 2 screws holding in the window, the window was easy enough to take out once these had been removed. - There were 2 motors in the lock but the problem one was in the same location. - The loom had a couple of extra connectors but fairly obvious to disconnect. - The white plastic connectors were different shapes, one and had a wire running along it with fastening clips. I wonder does the "fuse" lose it's contact after a while due to vibration and banging of the door. I ran the problem motor off a small battery before and after the solder. The problem motor spun intermittently before, no problem after. Thanks for the video, takes a while but worth it in the end.

Thanks to your video I could dismount all doors panel with no problems. I did that to apply insonorization materials. Now, my new car sounds (music when riding) much better. Best regards!

Great, thanks for it, according to this video i tried to repair my window mechanism cause the bowden had been broken down and window has fallen down. At the last crew with glue i damaged the screw head cause it was really hard to unscrew it.. Any idea how can is unscrew the damaged screw head?

Hi, plugin and check errors, check the charging of the battery while the engine is running on idle rpm.(with heating of the rear window and without it), make battery test and write me what you have :)

Witam, nie spotkałem się z uszkodzeniem wiązki ale jest warta sprawdzenia , w tym aucie nie zamykały się oba lewe zamki, w niedługim czasie padł również zamek tylnej klapy , w rezultacie został wymieniony na używany.

One question... it is not clear to me what is the original issue that the actuator had. In my case the issue is that I have to pull the outside handle twice in order to open the door. It is similar to your case?

Hi, no, in my case the door lock has stopped working, only one yours door lock working like that & only from inside handle ?

FixYOURride13 yes. The inside handle can open de door without any problem but what happens with the outside handle is that if I lock and then unlock the car, I have to pull the handle twice to open the door or sometimes hit the door near from the actuator to open the door by outside. But the inside handle works fine

@@alejandromaffio3 the electric motor working only after you close or open door by remote control, I will be looking for mechanical problem inautside handl, cable or in side the door lock if it is a problem only in one door

FixYOURride13 ok I will be disarming the outside handle and reviewing everything again since the first time I didn’t find any wrong. The weird thing is that only happens after unlock the door with the control, once the door is open the actuator works fine... it is very weird this issue.
