Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession. Towards the end of the 2022 I had the Hyundai Ioniq 5 to review, a car I've been waiting to get my hands in for quite some time.
There was an issue when it came to filming though...I was getting over a bad illness and the weather was wetter than an otter's pocket. Therefore I needed to think outside the box...
I decided to combine a range test with a review, and set out to go from the south coast of England to the south coast of Wales. Did I make it? Watch and find out 🤪.

I have the same model with 90000 miles, yes ex company car and using Auto regen, driving normal some fun,some eco style, using cruise control as often as i can can do 300 to 350 miles on a full charge in 20 25 degrees, using ac occasionally. Best car I have ever own, and one of the best cars i have driven out of all cars. I pedal not good Auto regen so much better.Comfy,spacious and pleasure to be in vehicle

If USB is an hurdle then buy a Fing adapter i cant se the problem ! IONIQ 5 is a nice experience to drive, i love mine and i bought an adapter for my phone 🤣

@@julesmarwell8023 Thanks Jules! Yes, I'm not convinced EVs are the future if I'm going to be honest and they don't really do much for me, but credit where credit's due, the Ioniq 5 is definitely one of the best EVs I've tested so far.

​@@99Tonygmmy son suffers a bit and we tested one a week ago and he was ok, i believe they have changed the ride a bit on the newer models, the one we tested was an Ultimate spec RWD, picking one up on Tuesday

This is interesting, we test drove the AWD for 2 hours recently and both of us felt really queasy. It felt incredibly unsettled on the road. Changed it for a RWD ‘24 plate demonstrator and it was totally different, so we’ve ordered a RWD Ultimate and settled for the lower power.

So after the 13k miles the car has done, it’s max range dropped from 290m to 216 miles?? Pretty sure it’s cause of the weather and. Not battery degradation as you are implying

I don't think I implied the battery was degrading did I??? It's still virtually a brand new car, so I don't recall that thought entering my head.
