I just had the update on my 2013 Sonata and just started doing this on last week. I guess I have to go back to the dealership

@@Nicolelovesbeauty they told me its normal... I said if it was normal why didn't it do this before. Not to mention now when at stop..foot on break you fell a pulse like clicking in the pedal after update dealership said that's now normal.. I think they are in for a rude awakening about this new update on older models..

So does 2019 have this problem

I was just experiencing this recently. Come to find out it was low oil in the engine that was the culprit. Keep an eye on your oil level especially if you have over 100,000 on your engine.

I took my 2016 hyundai tucson to the dealership to fix a P326 (Knock sensor) code which triggered engine light. Along with a ticking sound from the engine, the dealership had my car for over a week saying there's nothing wrong with it, stating that the ticking is normal, but didn't have that noise when I first bought the car. I believe they didn't want to fix it because it is under extended warranty. I got it back and not even 2 days later the check engine code comes back on while the ticking from the engine is still doing the same thing.

so what ended up happening?
@Chasedavis953 жыл бұрын
Nothing, the dealership couldn't figure it out or didn't want to keep working on it.

I bought my Hundai new in 2017. Traded it In Early 2019 because of this Recall 953. Very hard lesson learned. DON'T BUY HUNDAI.

I took my Sonata in for service campaign 953 last week. I have noticed upon return of my vehicle several issues that have emerged post 953 knock sensor detection system software update. I am feeling a pulsating shuttering vibration whenever I am depressing the brake pedal. It does vary in intensity. I have also noticed that when idling on a cold start the needle of the tachometer will very nervously increase and decrease in engine speed. Last but not least is the automatic electronic climate control has really lost it's mind. I can hear the front defroster operating when it is not activated. The automatic fan setting will prematurely blow out cold air from the vents before it is properly heated. In order to receive any heat at all, I will have to increase the temperature to a much higher temperature setting than I did before. Prior to the Service Campaign 953 software update, I never once experienced any of the above mentioned problems. Has anyone else experienced the same problems or is able to shed some light on this??? Thank you so much.

Any updates on your car? I have a 2018 sonata, do you think it's worth to update the software?
@vermontvermont92923 жыл бұрын
@@carlange7o yeah, pretty sure you have to have this update for the extended warranty.

Do not do the recall it’s a disaster. So first they do the engine software update and then the knock sensor update or change the knocks sensor. And then they don’t guarantee that your car is gonna work. I went to two different dealerships and they all say something different. My car is still broken they put a new engine in 2019 and it always sounded funny but I said what the hell it’s a new engine but now since they did the update with the new software and the new knock sensor I’m basically screwed. They are not standing by their word now they tell me it’s a catalyst converter that’s causing the knock sensor. I’m sorry that’s a plane out lie because two mechanics told me catalyst converter has nothing to do and the knocks sensor does not monitor the catalyst converter. When the one mechanic actually ran the test he says I can’t find any error codes so it’s gotta be that the engine has a problem. Oh yeah they give you that extended warranty I think it’s WXXH whatever they called it but they were still won’t do anything about it. And I’m stuck with a car in limp mode. Unfortunate for them I was about to purchase a new one and trade this one in and get exactly the same thing a Honda Tucson. But from what I understand they are Kia engines.
