Nothing to do with keeping you in the center and the HDA feature. This is what the HDA does: Set the cruise control to exact speed limit on the free way. Let say 75. The 75 will be in green and the “AUTO” symbol appears. When the speed limited changed to 65, the Palisade will automatically change the cruise speed to 65 and then when it changed to 75 again, it also automatically change it to 75. So it follow the free ways speed limit. It does not work on all roads but most free ways. When you see the HDA symbol, that means this feature is available on this road. Very impressed with this feature!

This only works on certain highways? I had it set one time and haven't been able to since! What is the auto symbol? And one more question, what is the button above the view button? I have the Limited model as well
@tucsonaffordablewebllc36904 жыл бұрын
@@marylougish761 Yes, it only works in certain highways or freeways. Probably works only at the Interstate Freeways like I-10, I-5, etc... The "AUTO" symbol means it detects the Interstate speed limit and now it is active to change your car's speed limit when it changed AUTOMATICALLY. If the "AUTO" symbol does not appear, that means this feature is not active. Not sure which button you refer to that is above the view button? If you mean at the Center Console, there is Parking Sensor ON/OFF above the View Button.
@marylougish7614 жыл бұрын
@@tucsonaffordablewebllc3690 yes for the button above view..I know it has something to do with parking but unsure what it does. Been trying hard to Figure out the features . Where is the Auto button btw
@tucsonaffordablewebllc36904 жыл бұрын
Mary lou Gish Yes, you can disable the parking sensors so it wouldn’t alert you when you are close to thing or enable it. I usually leave it ON so I do not hit things behind me but i found it useful to turn it off when I am at the auto wash machine.

The delivery date for mines is July 29th and I am so excited. I researched this vehicle way before I made the purchase and here I am still finding out things I never knew it had the capability of doing. Now I know for sure I made a good purchase. THIS IS AN AMAZING VEHICLE !!!!!

Just bought a 2021 Limited. We love it. Takes a bit of time to learn all the features, whistles and bells. It's a button bucket! There are literally 4 or 5 owners manuals! Go get you one. You'll love it! Thank you for taking the time to put this video together.

How are you liking the Palisade? I pick mine up in a week.
@ranger23163 жыл бұрын
@@79Rybred I like everything about it. Some of the extra whistle and bells are rarely used, but kind of cool. There really isn't anything else you could get on it. I am having a problem with the child safety locks. They won't engage and keep cycling on and off ... and then get a Child Safety Lock Failure alert. I'll get it in next week Enjoy your new Palisade!! I hope you like it as much as I like mine!

I agree that ambient lighting is such a great feature! Our last vehicle choice was down to two similar styles of different companies and ambient lighting sold me. We live in MN and it seems in the winter we are always driving in the dark (to work and home) so this is so great. I’m surprised vehicles still don’t have this as a standard feature. My husbands truck is pitch black inside and the reading light is just too much. Thanks for this video :)

I am debating in 2020 or 2021 limited
@johnstrika91703 жыл бұрын
2020. The 2021 Limited has been changed drastically because of the new Calligraphy. Alot of the standard options in the 2020 are now extra options because they've moved it all to the more premium Calligraphy. You'll get the 2020 cheaper and get most of what's now in the 2021 Calligraphy

Hello! I’m taking my first road trip and I’m very confused on what driving mode to use on the highway. And also the all wheel drive. I have the 21 calligraphy. Do I turn the all wheel off? I thought it said to only use in the 25 miles per hour or less.
@moeboogie40373 жыл бұрын
The H-Trac system automatically provides power to individual wheels as necessary. In sense, it’s not necessarily in All wheel drive all the time unless you intentionally lock it into all wheel drive.
@josiahstearns96153 жыл бұрын
Drive modes are really up to your preference although I would narrow them down to smart, comfort or sport. For longer Road trips I would probably just leave it in smart. Again, it’s your preference and feel of the drive. - Curious how the trip went, though.
@jamesincharlotte2 жыл бұрын
That’s the locker button in center of drive modes. That’s button when active you should now go over 25mph because all wheels are locked together when stuck in snow or mud.

Can someone tell me how to turn off the feature where it slows u down when approaching another vehicle if you have the cruise control set. This is so annoying.
@moeboogie40373 жыл бұрын
It’s adaptive cruise control. I believe your only option is to lessen the distance between you and the upcoming vehicle to about 1 1/2 car lengths. The other alternative is to not use cruise control at all. It is annoying to me as it seems to brake further away than I prefer, so I just rarely use it.

Having the shift by wire buttons opens up the storage under the center console. You wouldn’t get that if it had a regular shifter.

Nice Video! I was hot on buying a Palisades but after studying their user’s forums and hearing the endless major problems they seem to have (Wind noise 60+ mph, AWD drive shaft vibrations, strange smells, etc.) I’m holding back. Funny that these vehicles made in Korea seem to have more issues than the Telluride made in Georgia? Even with all those sources I’ve never got a really clear answer to my question, which rides “softer” (I’m 80, don’t want a hard truck like ride). I’m aware of 3 reviews (including Consumers Report), that say the Palisades rides “hard”? I’ve test driven a Telluride and found it to ride “fairly soft”, like I would prefer. I’m also “blown away” by the technology of both these vehicles, I did a video on (to me) the most outstanding feature: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqmbfoGXr56Wnbs My choice for the absolutely best tech feature on your Palisades is the LFA (Lane following - “Lane Centering”) that works down to ZERO mph - very very few other vehicles have this feature. Thanks for your excellent video!
@wearefamilee0074 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, thanks for the comment. Nice detailed video on the Teluride's smart cruise control. In terms of the ride of the Palisade, I would say it rides similar to other mid-size SUV's (neither too hard or too soft). Having said that, one of my complaints is the seats - they are not comfortable, especially for long drives. I'll go into more details when I do my "one year review" of the car, but the seats are definitely not as comfortable as my Acura RDX, despite the fact that the RDX drives "tighter" similar to a sportier car.
@papagnaproduction96023 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’m glad someone else saying the same thing about the seats, I thought was just me since I have back problems, but yes, I found the seat to be quite hard when my ultimate was new, now has only 5k Km, but I have to say that are getting softer and more comfortable, had the same problem with my BMW, but not quite that hard, then I went from very comfortable BMW seat to quite hard palisade seat, big difference, so I guess the more you drive/seat on it the more comfortable they get. Also I don’t know if you guys know, palisade and telluride are basically the same vehicle, so I’m pretty sure have the same suspension, I find mine to have a very comfortable ride. Hope this can help.
