For anyone that needs to know the bolt size it is a T30. And you will need an impact screwdriver, mine was insanely tightened down. You’ll need an extender for the screwdriver as well

This is a great and informative video, but the engine on my Hyundai Santa Fe is very different. I can't find the vvt valve on it.

We're working on a 2017 Santa Fe Sport, with the 2.4L, and this VVT valve seems to be missing. We easily replaced the Exhaust valve on the back of the engine. Is there definitely an intake valve too on this model? There is nothing in that area that you show here. Thanks for the help

Hey guys on this motor what would be a reason for it to burn thru oil? My wife's sante fe is burning thru it quickly. Would it possibly be rings or catalytic converter? No codes have appeared yet. Any answer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Will this be the cause for timing chain rattle ? I just replaced the timing chain

I'm here for the same thing. Hyundai Motors tells me timing assembly needs to be completely replaced. $7800. Sounds like a common problem with the 3.3 gdi motor. The solenoid sounds to me like a possible fix.

P0021 code threw on mine and magically our oil was completely burned up. No oil and I just checked it that same day and had it had half mark still went the next day because the p0021 code can be cured by an oil change. The techs said there was no oil on the dipstick. But emptying, there was approximately 2 quarta. But now the timing chain is clicking. And it's intermittent. It also gets louder as you accelerate.
