Can delete the second 02 sensor? I have a 2017 that needs a new catalytic converter. I'm wondering can I cut it out and run a aftermarket exhaust system.

2017 Santa Fe keeps giving code bank 1 and 2 sensor. Replaced both $300 and 2 weeks later engine light and same code again. Getting on my nerves !!!

Most cars have 2 oxygen sensors. One upstream: after the catalytic and one downstream: behind the catalytic converter closer to the tail pipe. It's not unheard of working on cars that have 4 oxygen sensors.
