Power loss while using ac is a common problem to older Santro. But if you are getting very poor mileage too, then there is an Issue.

If there is power loss and low mileage throughout, then first check your spark plugs. Check their gaps, if it hasn't been replaced for a long time, replace them with new ones. Also new plugs comes with factory adjusted gap between the electrodes.

@@gforgrease8983 i have the same issue bro my santro xing is 2003 model nd it starts and idling is perfect but after driving for about 15 kilometres when the AC is switched on the car starts missing specially when accelerated sudden the car behaves like it is running out of fuel nd when the ac is switched off it returns to normal, i replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, oil filter and engine oil too but the problem remains the same after the engine gets hot

This is common for santros.Check the condition of your cars fuel filter. If the fuel pressure is low, this will happen. If the engine compression is fine, changing the fuel filter and air filter will surely give some improvement.

You should definetly check the compression of your car engine. It might be having wornout piston rings or bad cylinder heads.

@@indianexperiments4192 if the compression rings are bad , or the cylinder head is loosing pressure, no smoke will be visible, but there will be carbon bulrid up. To check the engine health, when the engine is cold( like in the morning ) Just put your car on neutral and start it and suddenly put full acceleration , if your engine is bad, you will have white smoke. If no white smoke at all, try revving the engine to full throttle when the engine is hot, if black smoke comes that is also an indication of an issue with the engine.

When the number of passengers increases, that cooling wont be enough and will feel like its not cooling at all. Better you show the car to a car ac mechanic, he will check the gas pressure and will refill if necessary. If its not the issue, the cooling coil inside the cabin might be full of dust, which also can only be rectified by a car ac mechanic.
