Adjusting the HID low beams height on this Sonata Limited with xenon headlights

You know, a simple Turn Counterclockwise to Elevate the Beam or Clockwise to Lower would be appreciated. The rest of the B.S. we can do without, Wow!

At least he gave us the low (beam) down. lol your longest Phillips counter clockwise for up.👍 I did a front brake job at sunset and told the customer that her headlights were aimed way to low. At least give this guys video a 👍 up. ☮

7th gen Sonatas and some other Hyundais 2016 to 2020 or so have adaptive headlights. There is an auto leveling sensor I think in the headliner or rear of car that controls the up, down light moving. Small motor in each headlight gets signal from that and adjusts to vehicle angle, loading weight or hills.

Exactly the instruction I needed. Lights are ok with no load in the trunk but when we travel at night with luggage and a ice chest lights are to high. I am searching for a rear shock absorber brand that would better keep my Sonata level.

I apriciate the effort indeed it was helpful , but I have a 2109 sonata with an inelegant led headlights , I didn't see the "beer bottle cap" do yo have any idea how to adjust it ?

Looks like they put a different design in the 2019, I would recommend trying on a Hyundai forum, but again not sure if it's easy to get an answer. Another way is perhaps to ask the Hyundai dealer, if they are willing to help.

@@Peppermint1 I went to the dealer indeed , and it turned out that there are two holes in top the cover of the headlights, and you can adjust the lights with a long flat screw through the holes, thx for replaying any ways , have a nice day..

Is there anyway that I can change the factory HID lights that comes with my 2016 hyundai sonata limited to LED? Please help, I don't like the HID lights.

I'd advise against changing just the bulbs! You can but you'll regret doing it, their is no way to plug and play from HID ballast to the low wattage of LED. So after splicing and dicing your OEM wiring to power the replacement bulbs you'll notice a HUGE difference in light output and the balancing of the lighting all together. -now if you've got the OEM halogen setup, go for it. I would recommend a whole new lamp set up all together that's made with the LED bulbs in it, that way the housing is made for such specific bulbs and projects the lighting accordingly. You can find them all over ebay. That way if you decide LED isn't the better option you still have your OEM uncompromised to switch back into.

Not good for a 2018...2018 headlights dont have an ajusting bolt. Im starting to feel you need a damn computer.

Which headlights do you have, are they the HID ones ? The video was done with HID headlights, perhaps other models are different. I've added this to the title.

Did you figure it out yet? I have a 2018 Elantra GT with the gear like this, but no way to turn it. It's white in the center. It looks like a screwdriver goes down that little funnel looking thing, but it won't turn it. And I can't find a tool on line.

Clockwise lowers the beam/ counter clockwise makes it go up. Use a stubby Phillips head to make the adjustment.

Let's face it, if you have for example a 2011 Sonata and you don't spend a fortune on Bulbs, stock Bulbs in a Hyundai Suck. You literally have to use your brights and a 2011 is an electrical Nightmare. Avoid, I will never own another and they are Rustbuckets.
