For the 2018 mine was slightly different. The battery was in a metal sleeve attached to the circuit board. You will see a small tab on the sleeve. Put the small screwdriver next to the sleeve and push the battery gently to slide it out of the sleeve.

Thanks! Very helpful for changing out the dead battery in my mom's 2018 Hyundai Tucson SEL Plus keyfob after getting a 'no keyfob detected' dashboard message. The 2032 battery was in a metal sleeve on the back of the circuit board and just needed to be pushed out with the flathead screwdriver.

Just changed my 2018 Tuscan battery in 4 mins! Only thing is for 17-current the battery dosent go inside out but just slides into a slot (super easy)

First off the vehicle's name is pronounced TOO SAAN, where SAAN sounds like SWAN, (without the W of course;) and the 2nd, thanks, you saved me $10 the Hyundai dealership wanted to charge. Changed both of my fobs, because your video made it easy-peasy. Better yet, I thought the push button on the door handle was “needing attention,” then told it was the fob, saving even more $$$$.

Thanks for this at least it got me started. However, the 2019 it was a bit different. Just used fingernail to separate couldn't open the fob with a screwdriver. Also the 2019 battery had a harness you push the battery up and out with the positive side on top.

What do you do if the button that releases the internal key is lower than the point at which it releases the Key. I’ve tried penetrating oil. Holding it down for several second pre release. Putting a rotational force on it. Good job we have 2 key fobs.
