Why would you do the important parts off camera?! Doesn't make alot of sense for a how to if you don't show how IMO. I was watching for the specific part on the nubs and you didn't show anything..

Really don't like the large logo plastered on it. Do you think it will polish off, or is it a decal? These do look well made.
@asianky1e308 жыл бұрын
+tacc24 Its laser etched on there unfortunately. Its not all that bad. However, i do wish they put it on the bottoms as well.

Looks sweet, but I still prefer Taran Tactical +1 for my glock 43.

I challenge the makers themselves to do a REMOVAL video for the S&W Shield +2 that they are currently selling which DOES NOT have a hole for removal in the bottom. Damn near impossible. Put mine on to function check it before sending out for Cerakote to match my slide, took me 30 minutes and 4 allen wrenches inserted multiple times. No bottom click push to remove, and the spring can only be pry'd away by holes in the side using about 30 strokes & insertions......still don't know how the hell I got it off. Buyer beware....once it's on, it's on. If you shoot in dirty dusty environments and want to disassemble for cleaning? Yeah....good luck with that!
@asianky1e308 жыл бұрын
I'll reach out to them to see if they can do that for you as well as others out there. Seeing as i don't have a shield to do it for all y'all! Thanks for your input! I had no idea it was THAT troublesome! But on a side note, I've never had any issue with needing to clean out any magazine ever unless you purposefully torture test it in unrealistic circumstances.

The Sebenza you used to open the package, how long have you had it and how do you think it holds up to wear? My reserve on a Sebenza or a Titanium knife is they will look beat up pretty easily. To clarify, I am not questioning the quality of the knife, just the durability of the scales.
@asianky1e308 жыл бұрын
+The Prepared Sheepdog - Juliusjammer Holds up very well! I have a video talking about it being the perfect EDC. Blasted anything on a knife will show streaks faster than a stonewash or even DLC style coating. But still, this is my favorite knife and i'd buy another one in a heartbeat!

Still no testing after a month! The fact that it comes in pretty colors isn't that important. What is the length of the extension at the front of the grip and how does it compare to that of the OEM mag with the pinky extension? Except for the Taran Tacktical extensions it is significantly more expensive than several others that are available and especially since it doesn't come with a replacement spring.
@asianky1e308 жыл бұрын
+Winky Cat Sorry! Been busy with other things! I can attest that they have eaten over 400 rounds with zero issues. They are just a little tiny bit bigger than the OEM pinky extensions but its negligible in the end for what you gain!
@ccwnoob43937 жыл бұрын
FOR NOW, they work, but do you have any experiences good or bad after a few hundred cycles? (not over time either because it's load/reload cycles not time that can wear out a spring). I just wonder because the spring doesn't get changed when these extensions are installed
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
DISCLAIMER I no longer have the gun, See my recent videos as to why. With that out of the way, i only ever had the couple failures. After that it was all just fine. Also, the springs were fairly new as a whole so they couldn't have been worn out either. I would whole heartedly trust my life to the plus 1 extension. But for an extended mag i'd probably go with an ETS 9 round stick instead. Hope that helps!

I have been thinkin id rather have the hyve over taron, i like the looks of the hyve over taron just dont like the idea of cutting the tabs. Thanks for the vid on the +1 lots of great info here.

WACKEM G thanks for the view!!
@kileylina6 жыл бұрын
You can buy straight from hyve technologies with a new magazine and then don’t have to cut the tabs. $49.99. Cheaper than base + new mag.

I have the Glock 43 as well, do you prefer the hyve plus 1 or plus 2?
@asianky1e308 жыл бұрын
I personally would do one of each. +1 in the gun for carry and the +2 for the back up. But if you had to choose just one. I would do the +1 for the carry and backup. Its smaller and prints less. Hope that helps!

+AsianKy1e think I'm gonna go with the Taran Tactical instead. any recommendations on those?
@asianky1e308 жыл бұрын
I don't recommend one over the other. I decided against the Tarans due to 1. price (which is quite high), 2. availability or lack-therefore-of, 3. ascetics as i like the same angle of the base plate which matched the grip, 4. customer service. I still DM these guys on Instagram because THEY reached out to me. Why pay more for a product at this point? They have been excellent and after the initial growing pains of the +2 pads, there has been no more misfeeds. BUT even Chris from LuckyGunner had issues with his Taran +2 pads.
@hoyaz908 жыл бұрын
+AsianKy1e is the stock glock spring used for the +1?
@asianky1e308 жыл бұрын
Yes it is! I've had 0 malfunctions with the plus 1's at all. Period. I tried to put the Taran spring in the plus 2 but it was a little tight.

Taran tactical has hyve beat on extensions thier plus1 adds 1/8 inch . Hyve be o.k. If we got free , my hyve plus 2 went in trash i was so frustated after trying to remove it to clean magazine replaced it with taran tactical +2 it slides on and off in 10 seconds with no tools
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
Mike Walters matter of personal opinion. I did tell them to do something different on the 43/shield versions and they didn’t listen to me. I preferred the ergonomics on the Hyve over Taran. Plus they were cheaper. Would I do them again? Not too sure!
@mikewalters83617 жыл бұрын
AsianKy1e i agree taran over priced but, they work my plus 2 hyve had last round hold open with a round left in gun on 147 gr 9 mm factory ammo. But i do not like removal of hyve and use same spring deal. Good video just not for me.
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
Mike Walters yeah.... the removal is a PAIN IN BUTT!! Oh well i guess. Thanks for the view!
@barrygoldwater2441 Жыл бұрын
Why do they engineer something that requires you to destroy part of the magazine to install it? I suppose there has to be a reason. Try the Strike Industries +2. Looks way nicer, cheaper, and no need to do surgery on your magazine.
