Tulsa the city that has a Freeway Network that can hold 20 times its size. Just amazes me the amount of freeways there that really arent needed.

I feel like you’re overhyping it. For one if Tulsa was bigger the square of interchanges downtown would be terribly congested. And I feel like it has the right amount of freeways, but the angle of some causes an inconvenience. It also has a good bit of suburban sprawl which can cause alot of traffic even if the population is lower.

When I clinched I-44 in September 2021, the configuration at the Arkansas River and US 75 was so messed up that Google Maps thought I-44 was completely closed through here (at least WB).

Yes, The Turner Turnpike from OKC to Tulsa, and the Will Rogers Turnpike from Tulsa to Missouri. And in SW Oklahoma, it's the H.E. Bailey from OKC to Texas (Except in Lawton).

At the US 75 / I-44 interchange. Seeing the pylons for flyover ramp built without the flyover ramps is a very unusual sight.

It's from the first phase of the construction, the 2nd phase starts later this year.

I pass through Tulsa a lot on the way to OU football games. I-44 in Tulsa is a fun road to drive on. I heard the locals call it traffic henge.

16:45 I got nervous for a second. I thought the Honda Accord was going to merge into the 18-wheeler. The person was driving right on the center line. 18:30 Then you were forced into the left Lane by another truck.

In the early 2000s they tore down an abandoned hotel near this interstate that could have been something in its day. It just became an eyesore the longer it sat unoccupied.
