Just one more lane bro. We just need one more lane.

Shut your damn mouth! Making more lanes is bad!

this city is just hopeless.

We need reasonable public transportation, like trains. Road expansion has proven time, after time, a failure of relieving congestion in this city. We'll never be rid of road work and traffic.

@Goat every other first world country has it. This is the problem with with American mentality.

@Goat nah, someone gotta have the mentality of improving the country. All you people ever say is to leave and offer nothing as things fall to shit. You people let this country down.

I keep saying I’m going to run for mayor and push this as my platform😂 like why don’t they see trains are the way to go 😩
@BoneItis6392 жыл бұрын
The issue is Houston is built with the idea in mind of everyone driving. Even riding a bicycle in this city sucks. In my area, there's hardly any sidewalks or bike lanes. Also, it's a really big city. I think unfortunately, this city isn't ready for trains because of how it was built. I could be wrong, but a lot of infrastructure change would need to take place
@yuliamare2 жыл бұрын
@@BoneItis639 i agree with your comment but my degree and career are all about problem solving…..why not Start by closing HOV lanes and building above ground trains and use overpass areas close to downtown as the train stops? Eventually we could use the HOV lanes still but a whole train line East west and north south…. Then expand after that….

There is zero reason for it. 45 is fine and was just renovated 5 years ago. 9 BILLION? the Mayor must have some friends in teh constructions business....

That must be it. He went to school in Boston. He has seen first hand the logistical efficacy of rail transit in the Boston area metro and regional commuter rail system. Someone has to have bought him off. The sad part is the people of Houston fall for this obvious smoke and mirrors!

This really sucks. This city is going backwards

Sticking a bunch of hike and bike trails underneath 3 different freeways is not "GREEN!"

So they will tear down the Clayton Homes housing projects as well as warehouse live and other small businesses. Houstonians want better public transit not more freeways. Dallas has a way better rail system than we do.
@Fluffybunz779 Жыл бұрын
Clayton homes is already abandoned.. just drive by. The city quit doing maintenance after Harvey. Most buildings are empty.

This is why so many corporations are relocating to Dallas.

So, no High Speed Rail, but build another lane? 🙄😒
@flydragon72562 жыл бұрын
There is a constitutional amendment that states if the government needs to tear down property for building a freeway, they must pay the property owners.

Even after being expanded it's gonna become obsolete in like 15 years

"No impact to existing parks" Take note that the city currently doesn't regard the trail and bench spaces along the bayou as a park. TXDOT plans to cover a lot of it in concrete.

Bring in the environmentalists, they are contributing to carbon emissions with building more freeways!!!!!!
