I respect this young woman so much for having the courage to talk about her mental state and what she was going through. I also want to bring to attention the fact that, not all eating disorders are anorexia, bulimia, etc. A lot of them have to do with overeating in stressful situations, binge eating, also what I call blind binge eating. I used to cone home from school and eat until I felt sick (this was in middle school, age 11- 15) My parents also used to have us eat fast food, at least, 4 to 5 times per week. My stomach was always in turmoil. My parents took me to multiple Dr's, one finally asked for a stool sample. I was so embarrassed, I chickened out. The dr gave me some over the counter antacid pills. Never took em. Changed my diet and stopped eating fried takeout crap every day. Stomach problems went away with the wind. Since changing my diet to not eating fast food 4 times per week, I feel great.

I've been thinking about this lately. So many memes (e.g. the crying autotuned dad, Michael Jordan crying, sad Will Smith) take these moments of genuine vulnerable sadness and turn it into a depersonalized joke. And I've reposted many of these memes without thinking about the person or real feelings that created it.
