It actually was surprisingly fun. I think the key to making it REALLY good would be an admin for a server that has events, blocks off sections of the map for progression pacing, and then making castles that are like towns with crafting stations and shops that sell weapons for players. Then, increase enemy difficulty by a lot. There's a lot you could do to make it super super good, but it'd take a bunch of effort... Maybe more mods will come out that will help!

I've been playing the rpg mods for the past 2 weeks, if you do decide to play it again the fastest way to level is by executing things in gloomrot from the start. Also 1-15 is pretty much free because of the quest requirement to progress and all the exp that you needed is put into 15-16 which is why it takes so long to level there. I've noticed though that the NA servers are pretty dead so its unfortunate since I do enjoy playing v rising.

Yeah for NA for active servers, I play private ones I'm familiar with. The RPG mod actually does feel really good. It's an interesting idea, and with further development in the mod realm it could be absolutely amazing.

ward of the damned in maja is... certainly a choice, seeing as skeletons will not exactly play nice with her amount of summons; although i guess having awareness to not use it when she is about to summon probably helps. surprised you keep using chaos volley when youre so underleveled, i find corrupted skull to be a bit more helpful since the skeletons draw aggro while still dealing reasonable damage.

Eh, I don't really find her hard enough for it to matter personally. Blocking the pages with something is really all I use it for, and the skeletons she summons don't really do much

@@terribletimmy2that’s understandable, i find it matters a lot more when fighting her at a way lower level (iron weapon and merciless copper armour/blood rose ring)

i dont think this mods for me, since the very thing i love about the game is there is no exp grinding yo begin with. And the experience that you aquire playing the game is the actual combat exp you get fighting different enemies and bosses enhancing your knowledge of the game. I like that it rewards skill for you to progress rather than just spending more of your time grinding.

Yeah the initial idea was actually really fun, but you'll see in the second half that I got bored of the grind. I will say that the idea of having a level separate from gear was actually super interesting, since it meant you had access to the best equipment, but still took more damage, making it harder

ah yes I recently tried this as well. I was super hyped it sounded really cool, then it wasnt at all so that was a let down. Maybe the settings can be customized but on the server I played it changed almost nothing about the game except adding a little more grind to get some extra stats. You still obtain everything exactly the same way you just level up gear score by killing. Your going to play the game exactly the same your just going to kill a few more things.

amazing videos. I am new to v rising and I must say I finished both solo to adam and duo to adam and now i crave some more. Would be awesome if you could make another series maybe with a bit more pvp and with pistols? haven't seen much on pistols side. Anyway nice content and keep it coming

was this the chaos rising server? I'm hearing you talk about the wipes and it sounds very very familiar. Thats the one i was playing on but then they started wiping every 3 days with a whole new rule set and everything. After the RPG they changed it to a no wipe server then wiped the no wipe server the same week lol.

What server did you play on with the griefing issue? Embrace The Suck is where I've been since Gloomrot and its awesome. Has a really great mix of both serious PvP and casual play.

Yeah ETS is an amazing server. Godwin does ridiculously good work there, and I played multiple multiple wipes on it pre-gloomrot. I keep missing the wipe schedule post-gloomrot, which I guess isn't all that big of a deal, but yeah. Amazing server and I need to go back to it soon. The server I was on with some griefing I honestly don't remember the name... It had been up for ~6ish hours when I joined and had a bunch of people playing, so I hopped in and started recording, but even with a 10 lvl rule there was a lvl 66 ganking people who had barely gotten into dunley. I had a random 55 and the 66 both try ganking me in iron mine while I was lvl 33, and then the 66 was full on gatekeeping Octavian, and would have his duo back him up if things got dicey. Nearly killed him 3 times, but he'd either get away or have his duo come to bail him out It got to the point where I just did Octavian in the daytime, and managed to kill him that way, but by the time I was done it had taken so long and I was so jaded that I ended up giving my castle and gear to someone who had just started and then bailed.

Listening to this guy talking about his run is just like listening to a dog that tries to explain its logic behind going through a doorway with a long stick in its mouth without any success. "You know, I just though I might be able to go through eventually if I'll keep trying" "Ah the stick doesn't go through it bumps for some reason, I'll figure it out later, for now I gotta keep going" "The owner tries to tell me something, but well he can clearly see I need to go through that door right now"

Well you'll still take damage and no equipment means extremely low HP. I didn't notice much HP gain, but there was at least a little. You also gain weapon mastery over time, but the increases are not really that much, at least they weren't for me.

Yeah, gonna be keeping this one to 2 parts since really the highlight was some of the crazy level differences I managed to pull off with the leveling system
