Only really if he’s your last character… so it’s really at its best if your opponent is on their last character and you don’t damage them that much or if they’re bringing an anchor character out early for you to use it on

Is body change allowed in tournaments? I feel like it’s a really broken technique that’s not used enough if it is allowed.

it's allowed. Lab Coat was the only thing ever considered ban worthy. Ginyu was just not picked that much due to being low tier and Body Change having very specific routes that needed lots of labbing. He's viable for tournament use now, Axeice and Garlic Bread are the only competitive Ginyu users

It’s as allowed as it is, thankfully, mainly a win more mechanic. Most ideal scenarios to use it in, such as from frame 4 invincible level one, is only on anchor where you can’t use B assist OR situations like body changing after two touching their first character. Dude, you won: body change was just gravy at that point. Photon Pulse is stupid because it’s win more AND the character herself trivializes most fundamentals with her moves. She gives up nothing for it, not even 3 bar instead of one, and she used to combo into the damn thing.
