I'm a store shopper myself. For me a big part of the hobby is making the rounds to all of the stores and finding them on a shelf. I can examine them for paint defects, and get the one with the least package damage. I open most of my figures but I have 98% or more of the boxes, card backs and matching bubbles or clam shells. I keep them because I met a guy who got $100 for G1 Hotrod's packaging. Just the box. I had just started collecting at the time so I was like, hmm, I'm gonna start saving these. Maybe one day I'll have the box some completist wants and will pay some good coin for. Not holding my breath, but it would kill me inside if I came across a post where someone was like "Ill pay mad cash for the packaging for X figure." I keep all of the instructions sheets as well. Sometimes I'll buy a figure online if A) I NEED it and don't want to risk not finding it in retail, or B) after a certain period of time, I'm sure I'm not going to find it at local retail. Or B) I don't find it and the wave after it is starting to show up. IDK about anyone else but it's not uncommon for Walmart or Target to skip waves due to all of the product they have on the shelves. Why would they order Wave 4 or 5 if they are still trying to unload most of Wave 3 still. There's a Walmart near me that still has 8 Prime Legacy Arcees. They seem to refuse to clearance them, but other figures nowhere near as old get clearanced out. So there has been no new Deluxe Legacy figures at that location. They are keeping up on Voyagers, Leaders, and Core class, but won't clear those Arcees out to make room for new Deluxe waves. (LOL. should have waited. I unpaused the video and the first thing I heard was "Distribution is not so great." )

Another underrated fig imo is 05 prime, the only thing keeping it from shining is its color scheme

Studio Series Scavenger is so underrated for how accurate the robot mode looks based on what we saw for Demolishor at the beginning of ROTF. Even if the O&K RH400 excavator alt mode isn’t that accurate, the fact it’s a triple changer makes it impressive as it is. Plus the oversized version from Mechanical Alliance scales almost perfectly with Studio Series if you’re interested in looking for that ❤

SS number 11 lockdown is underrated. Yeah he has his flaws but aside from that he also has great details on him (especially his face), he's still an improvement from the first lockdown toy and he’s just a good figure.
