3:18 It is, but I’m not sure whether or not the new Spain counts for it. Each tile in Spain gives 3 units that are divided up amongst the people who got influence in the state. It’s possible the new tiles are actually counting for troops but since Nationalist Spain is scripted on historical and what tiles they take before the war starts are completely pre-decided. The Spanish Civil war would also become an absolute NIGHTMARE to win playing as the Nationalists. The Republicans start out with every single state and there’s a really limited number of states that the Nationalists can get, but since there are so many more tiles the Nationalists have no hope of ever getting more troops than the Republicans.

When calling allies to war, it's better to use the button in the war menu. They'll attempt to prepare before declaring war, making them more likely to accept. Meanwhile the diplomatic menu button requires an immediate response from the AI
