I think that the biggest problem with "harder difficulty" in video games is that developers just boost the enemy and make you weak, but in order to use the power given to the AI it needs to be smart. Its like giving a gun to a child and try to fight it with your hands tied.

Especially in strategy games. The games are so complex that the AI just can't handle them. In Civ the AI starts light years ahead of you on the hardest difficulty but its easy to consistently beat them regardless even if they can march up to your capital with 25 units on turn 50. In Hoi4 you can usually just let them die grinding on your frontline until you can kill them. Don't even need to make good units or anything.

yeah, all this does is make the AI make more crap divisions and crap planes, which tanks and well designed planes or planes researched with bonuses can easily deal with. Once legit burger can hold the line, all he has to do is encircle them 2000 times until they run out of divisions or surrender

Allies can only watch anxiously as their own lend lease button is grayed out 1938: Miracle in China as allied minors across the world use their default focus tree to send 40 width volunteer divisions to every China warlord! Japan's advance grinds to a halt 1939: As soon as Germany does sudetenland it and japan suddenly get embargoed by every allied country in the world! This is a dire situation for the axis rubber supply! 1940: Spain joins axis and controls the Med! UK fleet in Malta sunk by Italy by stacking port strike spirits! UK gets bombed by germany switching its bombers between airzones every three days! 1941: Soviet fail to defend their ports as masses of 2 width german cavalry invade murmansk and the far east, and soviet infantry get overrun across the front line by 12km/h german tanks! 1942: Germany paradropped the soviets and did 100% collaboration government on Soviet to capitulate them, not looking good for Allies 1943: US surprise invasion on Home Islands with 35 Amphibious Tank divisions despite japan controlling most islands on the pacific! Japan instantly capitulates 1944: The tide turns as US suddenly starts producing 3 nukes a month and uses them on germany causing war support to drop to zero! 1945: USA lands in europe and overwhelms germany with 500 infantry divisions stacked with max artillery attack and support tanks boosted by superior firepower, and cas with 30 ground attack after blowing up the german airforce with nukes, germany cannot hold on and capitulates

While I think this challenge is most certainly impressive, I don’t think it’s the hardest one. The finishing touch to make it as hard as possible is to not strengthen Italy, Japan, and Germany while you play as Hungry.

The tank design he uses is a medium tank chassis improved howitzer 3 man turret 2 small turrets sloped armor welded armor gas engine 9 engine 4 armor and bogie suspension. see at 4:14

Well... what about Road to 56? It allows buffing factions the major powers are in too, add that and a few AI improvement mods and things start to become annoying (Still not impossible, as unless the AI nukes you, you can just fort meme stuff if necessary)

I feel like the amount of minors that have access to the paratroop cheese drop France makes this challenge a lot easier. Granted, the defense on core territory likely makes it a lot harder but I'd still imagine it's easy enough..
