Also, I'm firmly of the opinion that if it's fun for you as the dev, it'll probably be fun for others as well (at least, barring the type of people who can't stand when something isn't immediately intuitive and harshly criticize the game for not aligning with their exact preferences and ideas of what it should be). my response to the extra dash thing at 1:15 was 'oh, so basic Celeste platforming, nice'. aaand it's the wave dash, ok, that's cool. I enjoyed Celeste, and the game looks nice, and I'm not dissing, its totally ok its like Celeste, its just well the first place someone experiences something will forever be the source of it, even if it was a copy and they go see the original (unless the original does it really well, like castle in the sky has been copied by so many things, things I loved, that when I saw it I was like 'oh that's like x from y' and 'that's z from w' and it was so cool, and then I learned it inspired them, and well I shifted my example of those things to this movie as its the original and is so good, but I have plenty of things that are knock offs of something, but they are still the example of comparison in my mind), and so with how Celeste is so well known, and did such a good job, that its gonna be the point of comparison for most of these platforming things, and that's ok.
