hi Mitch, honest question: Why do you choose to swear in generic meaningless sentences? If I may..... You are intelligent and have a great vocabulary. You have self control in the fact that you are healthy and not overweight. You are disciplined in your ability to navigate challenges at a professional level. So, why do you choose to fall short in this category? You get paid to play children's games in the decade of the 20's. it is not the dirty 80's and 90's anymore. you are not a teenager anymore. Do you not feel embarrassed and despicable using profanity in front of kids? Professional athletes and professors and teachers and public servants (employees) all learn this basic self control, so why do you choose do disregard it? Do you like making your editor clip out your profanity while editing? Are you unaware that you speak like this? Do you think that it makes you sound more impressive or powerful or cool or professional or appealing? Do you think it makes you sound more relatable to your audience? I sincerely do not understand. it is just a noise, it doesn't hurt - ouch - i am not saying nonsense like that. i am not saying that you are not allowed to use lame words. You can do what you want. You have free will. You have an audience. You can make your own choices. In MY OPINION, I think it would be amusing if your editor placed a profanity counter on your videos. What is your average? every 20 seconds? every 30 seconds? every minute? Am i the only one that would find that entertaining. Counting the times a 35 year old man swears while playing a childrens game. What is the age limit in Mario 3? is it 8 and up? i honestly don't know. do you like knowing that the youth of the future will watch your content because they like: the games, and like you, and like your performance? I would! That is awesome! Congratulations, much respect! However, do you like knowing that you will be blabbing profanity at them constantly? Does that make you happy, or embarrassed, or indifferent? you are a role model others, whether you like it and admit it or not. it is a fact. you agree and acknowledge that, right. you know that it is never to late to break that habit, right. you don't need a declaration of shame, or a public apology, or a victory parade, or a hero cookie. You can simply use more grown up words and awareness. Starting now. it takes like 1 second. Done. or, you can continue to swear constantly for no reason, in an empty room, to your audience of youth. while playing video games. it is your choice. you can be your best, and be a leader by example - or not. whatever your reasoning, just be honest with yourself. if you think that people don't notice, they do. just because other people choose to swear constantly for no reason, does not mean that you have to. It is okay to hold yourself to a higher standard. Or, You can hold the microphone to your butt and fart into it and act like an immature fool. Whatever you choose, it is your choice. @@brandonr3741- hi brandon. you do not need to defend mitch. he doesn't need bodyguards from conversations. mitch does not lack intelligence or confidence or communication skills. i am not picking on him or belittling him. far from it. i have much respect for him. i like him. if his swear words don't hurt, then my words don't hurt either. no need for emotion or being defensive. i am pretty confident that his feelings are not hurt by me or my questions or opinions. he has free will. if you, brandon, like swearing, you go right ahead. you don't need my permission. i won't condone you for it, but i certainly wont encourage it. in my world, communication is expressed in paragraphs made up of sentences. i feel no shame for expressing a point thoroughly. in some communities, communication is abbreviations and acronyms and emojis. just because others communicate that way, does not mean that i do. i think, talk, and type fast. Do not worry about me and my time. i will hold myself to my standards. you will hold yourself to yours, and mitch will hold himself to his. We all do. at any moment, we can choose to raise our standards. or choose not to. that is essentially my main point. thus, when i start a conversation, i reply to it. it ends when i have nothing more to add, or when others stop expressing worthwhile statements. some people like to mock me for having dialogue in public. i am not bothered by this mockery. not in the least. perhaps you are right, and you spend more time online than i do. i don't see the relevance of that statement. is there a minimum amount of time spent online before i can make an observation?
