I’m ready to try this change. I live in Berkeley, CA and not sure if Little Green Forks is doable for me but I’ll look for something local if they are not. Thank you for sharing and encouraging us.

Great! Also, our online learning platform with support groups is only $10/month at membership.pbnsg.org

Great story! I considered I was very healthy up until 1.5 years ago then I had several warnings (tightness in the chest) and ended up getting 3 stents in my artery feeding the heart. I am so lucky! I have switched to WFPB 3 months ago and feel so much better.

I was stented in RCA 11 years ago after a takotsubo event. Eat plant based since. Follow a lot of dietary science and just don't see how modest nut consumption, or even a little olive oil hurts. Not at all clear that MUFA and PUFA are harmful. (Ref. work of Prof Gary Fraser and Walter Willet). In fact what I see in the research is that they help with flow mediated dilation. But big picture, I do WFPB, but with a small amount of wild fish or nuts. Exercise almost daily and stay away from highly processed and sugary foods. Track your ApoB, BP, inflammation (hsCRP) as you want them all low.

Regardless of what you believe, it can only be helpful to keep in mind that this man holds no credentials relevant to what he's talking about here. So when he makes it seems he's discovered insights the actual experts have missed, thst should at least make you wonder whether or not he's fully engaging the available data. And assuming all experts are in the pockets of pharmaceutical companies is a straight up fallacy. I'm not saying this person is wrong, but rather the internet is full of manipulative content. Always be interested in knowing whether or not you're being mislead even a little bit.
