I Almost Forgot About This Makeup Brand...

The balm is an underated brand imo. ● I love their now discontinued eye primer. It was awesome for my oily, hooded lids. ● I love their matte liquid lipsticks, they are matte but don't look/feel dry or crusty like you said. I can easily re-apply. They fade gracefully and do last as long as you don't eat much. For me no lipstick does though including the ones that people swear for, so that's normal for me. ● Their eyeshadows, although I have their discontinued single ones, since I ruined my meet matte trimony. They have survived so many of my declutters even though they are 7-8 yo. The dark mattes are staples because they blend so smoothly and give such a nice fading, believe me it's really difficult for a blue shadow to look like I just described. They can be very sheer if you want them to be, and even though you may think that every eyeshadow can be sheer, what I mean is that it looks really beautiful and classy, there are very few blue eyeshadows that I can wear like that, most look washed out, patchy, more like you forgot to completely take your makeup off rather than freshly applied. Inwish they did more colorful shadows, I have a vibrand teal from them and it is really good. ● I love their mad lash mascara, I had mine for like 7 years (I know..) and it never dried out until I finished it, it never gave me allergic reaction even when the wand accidentally went into my eye, it is easy to remove and doesn't make lashes crusty, it's my fave non waterproof mascara and I have backups. ● Their blushes and bronzers are generally very nice, smooth and blendable.

Yes I was super impressed with the lipstick! Plus I love the minis for throwing in a small bag. They did just release a new eye primer, curious if that compares to the old one!

I'm excited to hear The Balm has a new opportunity being in Walgreens. I currently only have one product from them, the Take Home The Bronze anti-orange bronzer in the shade Oliver. I love that it's cooler-toned without being a contour shade and it looks so much better on my light skin than most bronzers out there which have more orange in them that just don't work on me. It's as you said, soft but without tons of kick up and very buildable. I've always been drawn to their blushes and highlighters and don't know why I don't just grab one or two up. This video has me taking another look at them for sure. They also have a lot of their products on Amazon as well, but I'll be checking on their website for sales!

I love that palette! Your eyes look gorgeous! Also I had to laugh when you stopped while applying the lid color and said "Ooo...I love that!" That's what I do when I happen to apply the perfect shimmer or highlighter shade😁 I would def purchase that as a splurge🌟

The Swing liner has always been a long felt tip. Its a great liner and i feel under rated and truly matte. I did not know they had brown and plum too. I def prefer a brush tip. I am a makeup artist and only get them if they come free or are a freebie in The Balm purchases or on mega sale and only use it as a base on my lashes after applying shadow to make lashes blacker at the base and to cover any shadow that lands on lashes and run along the very tips of lashes to darken them to bring out the length on tips without weight and clumps. Consider giving that a go to get good use out of it in a different way. Hope you enjoy using it that way and is useful. I use it on the under and back side of lashes and allows me to skip shadow or pencil liner on tightline (my eyes are sensitive and its hit or miss as to when to when using other products will cause all day watering). Thought i would share those tips that have worked great for me and others i have suggested it too and now use it in their regular routine in a different way (some just love it as its meant to use which is great too!). Would love to know if you try these other methods and if they are a win for you using them in a different way. If you hate them, no offense taken at all. I am always curious about experiences for others. I tell others i share tips with or give products to, to never feel bad telling me they hate it and why, because bottom line #1) hey, I didn’t create the product #2) its only makeup. No folks should relax and realize its JUST makeup and supposed to be fun! If there is a policy where you can return it, get your hard earned money back or exchange for something different. Our hard earned money IS important and want satisfaction, and you can usually (depending on policy listed on receipt and keeping receipt and packaging) allow you to get something else to make you happy! :) Damn, i am long winded. I haven't seen theBalm at my Walgreens either, but I did notice a small section at our HyVee. I saw Emily Noel review these products a while ago, and it reminded me that I had gotten a few Balm samples in past Ipsy bags. I may have to bring them back out and give them another try!

Interesting. The Balm is not at my Walgreens. I remember it being at Kohl’s. I hope it comes to my Walgreens. I like their blush and highlighter. I used to like their Take home the bronze in Oliver. It is now discontinued. I was hoping that they would bring it back. The formula was amazing.
