Its such a small part of this video, but you saying "No, I don't want to lie down" was so impactful. Im such an obedient patient that I never thought to say "no" during my first two births. Looking back there were some things I realize I would have preferred to do differently and seeing someone like you say "Nope, don't wanna do that" makes me realize I might say "no" next time too. Thanks for sharing.

Hi! I just gave birth to my second baby one month ago. Have been following your channel throughout this pregnancy because I am also a Christian mom, and our due dates is so close, I feel like we are walking through this journey together. I love watching your daily lives with your kids, it gave me so many inspirations. After listening to your birth story, I am so touched and I want to share with you my birth story as well. It is a bit similar, only that I didn’t make it to the hospital. So I found out my baby was breech at 32 weeks, I was praying to the Lord for the baby to turn and so I could have a natural delivery. But it didn’t happen. At week 37, I talked to my OB and had my c-section scheduled two days before my due day. At first I was doing everything that I could to turn the baby naturally, but in my prayers the Lord told me specifically not to do anything but wait upon Him. I was hoping maybe the Lord will make baby turn miraculously right before the c-section. That two weeks was SO stressful! But I obeyed God anyway and gave up all human interventions. At that point, I already accepted the fact that I might have a c-section. But then at 38 weeks 2 days, in the middle of the night, I started having some mild contractions. They were a bit irregular, so I thought to myself, it must be Braxton hicks, so I went to bed. But the contractions didn’t go away, I woke up and took a shower again, thinking I might need to get checked in the hospital. But to my surprise, things escalated real quick. My contractions went from not painful to super painful all of a sudden. At that point, I still thought we could drive to the hospital ourselves., but oh man, the contractions grew so painful I couldn’t even stand. By that time I realized I probably couldn’t make it to the hospital, I panicked big time coz’ my baby was still breech! I cried out to God and meanwhile my husband called 911. My husband asked me to go back into the bathtub. I filled the tub and found out that there’s some blood in the water. The cop first arrived and he asked me not to push yet (I thought to myself: how is it possible?!), coz’ my body started pushing real hard, when I reached down I already felt the amniotic sac…a few minutes later when the paramedics arrived, I stepped out of the tub, and my water broke right there. I stepped out of my bathroom and saw that they put a lot of towels on my hallway. I felt that my baby was already coming out so I got down on all fours, my husband shouted, oh I see the foot! And then, right there I started pushing, within 2 minutes, my baby was born. She was born breech (one foot first, and then another foot, and then one arm, shoulder, another arm, another shoulder. And then finally the head) from the not-so-painful contractions to the baby was born, the whole process was less than an hour long. According to my friend who came to pick up my older daughter (and happened to witness the whole thing), the paramedics were terrified, it’s until my baby was born, totally safe and healthy, and I was ok, that they started breathing again. And though it’s a breech delivery, I didn’t bleed much, I could walk right after delivery, and my baby was very pink, no sign of suffocation at all. The paramedics even told me they wanted to give me a star because I kept the place so clean lol. It was a total, absolute miracle. To this day I am still in awe how the whole thing played out. Our God is so faithful and powerful and creative! I can’t praise Him enough! Glory be to God!

I had our third baby 3 months ago, our first daughter. It was a pregnancy where we prayed for God to sustain her the whole time, every week. I also went into labor on the due date, and she was born after only 3 hours of labor! It was my first natural birth, and also right after a preemie. I cried when you talked about the feeling of relief when you held her. I know that feeling well!!!! Praise God.

I’ve lost my faith right before my previous delivery. It was hard. Now I’m in my 35th week of the second pregnancy and I feel that I need God so much. There are so many unexpected things that can happen. Hopefully I will find my way back to Him. Your story is giving me some kind of a kick towards it.

This story healed my own feeling about my own birthstory. It would be a Long comment if I described it all, so all I will say is, that somehow God gave me your story to calm me Down about my own first homebirth, which was veeeery intense.. and like with you, the water broke very late and more.. it’s hard to describe but Some of the things that happened at yours happened at mine and I have not met others experiencing that, so.. It was somehow a relief and with a lot of healing listening to you takling about it. Thank you to YOU and Thank you GOD for your beautiful birth (which I prayed for several times for you) including it healing my own❤

I also have fast labours and my history not being honoured is definitely a pet peeve (and my husband’s greatest fear). With my first, I had a similar experience to you. They tried to put me in a wheel chair to get me from triage to a labour room and I refused. They wheeled the triage bed to the labour room and I pushed the whole way. Baby arrived minutes after I was on the bed in the delivery room. With my second, my midwives took me seriously and got to me (we had a home birth) with time to spare, and I am so thankful. Currently pregnant with my third and looking forward to another beautiful home birth.

This has me in tears!! What a beautiful experience! Your birth was VERY similar to mines. I, too, almost gave birth in the hall. I know the pain when it was the most intense after my water broke. Once it broke, I gave birth within 5 minutes! Only pushed 3 times and she was out! Yes the doctor also manually extracted 3 small blood clots and THAT was THE MOST PAINFUL THING I’ve ever experienced! It was worse than birth pains for me in my opinion but glad everything went smooth after that.

To anyone who is feeling frustrated at people asking her not to push, the reason they tell you to go as slow as you can is to prevent tearing. Giving everything as much time as you possibly can to ease into stretching can really help with avoiding serious tears. So when birth is SO fast women can have tears severe enough that the membrane between the vagina and anus is gone completely. So do know that they are not saying that for no reason or to give themselves more time or something, it is solely in the hope that she can ease into it. Obviously you can't stop your body from pushing out the baby but sometimes women are in so much pain they push as much and as hard as they can and this can exhaust them before the baby is ready to come out, or lead to tears.

I had watched your birthing video not once but twice. It was the most miraculous birth I have ever seen. I cried when you described looking down and seeing her face, your hand on top of her head. Then lifting her up to you. At that point I had falsely assumed the Dr had handed her up to you. Now we know that you yourself pulled her out and up to you. That was just so miraculous and wonderful. There was a moment where we saw how the birth affected Zack as he squeezed your shoulder, you likely never felt it but his knuckles started to change colour, it was likely when you pulled Anna up to your chest that he relaxed. I would say if you delayed by just five minutes leaving for the hospital, Zack may have found himself delivering Anna, in the car. You were so in control of every moment of the birth. We are so fortunate that you have sat down to recorded every moment of your birthing story and to share it with us. Thank you for filling in that one blank spot, it isn't something very few would ever witness in their life time, including the delivery team. Of pulling your own baby out too complete the birth.. Then to hear what happened after that, with what your Dr did to stop the bleeding. I honestly think he simply followed your example and did what he felt was right in that moment for both you and himself. I would guarantee everyone there to witness your birth, had never seen a birth like it. I am certain your birthing story is going to be repeated many, many times during the life time of all who witness the miraculous birth of Anna Beth. Praise be 🙏

What an amazing story! I didn't realize while watching the birth vlog that you pulled her out. Hearing you describe that made me cry (which is funny because I would never want to do that haha). I think the Lord really used your videos to help me with my pregnancy. My twins are almost a nonth old now. From 33-36 weeks, I thought I was having a C-section, but at my very last ultrasound, I got cleared for a vaginal delivery. My induction was 5 days later. My birth experience was so redemptive. I also thought I was going to have a hallway baby because they deliver twins in the OR and didn't move me until I was 10 cm. That was a brutal time being rolled from the delivery room to the OR. The also banged my bed into the wall a couple times. My husband said he could tell it hurt by my expression. Once I got to the OR, I realized I had to focus on my nurse and my husband and no one else. It was definitely overwhelming how many people were in the room. But then they finally told me I could push. My daughter came out in 3 pushes and very little effort. My son was transverse, so the doctor had to flip him head down then I was told to push. I didnt feel the urge, but I trusted my nurse and he came out in 4 pushes. My son ended up needing to be in the NUCU for 15 days, but we're all together now. And this was my third pregnancy and first positive birth story. The Lord is so good and I'm thankful that I had your videos as a means of reminding me of that during my whirlwind of a pregnancy.

I know exactly how that post delivery blood clot thing goes-I had it with my second! It was sooooo painful and a horrible thing to go through. My sister saw and fainted, she had to leave the room. I pray to God the same thing doesn't happen this time around. I remember the doctor pushed sooooo hard on my tummy I was trying to push his hands away from me 😳 that labour lasted 50min, I was induced via drip, no medication. It had traumatised me for sure. But here we are, pregnant again 😂 thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I watched the delivery video, I cried and showed my kids too. Love Delilah and her channel, but to all the Christian Moms that are watching this- good things happening doesn’t mean prayers were answered, and bad things happening doesn’t mean they weren’t. It’s not your fault if you prayed for a miracle, and it didn’t happen. If you prayed for a miracle, and it did, that wasn’t because you were trusting God more than anyone else who was praying for a miracle. EDIT: To help with some of the confusion, I am an ex-Christian agnostic. Thank you.

So in that moment I had to make a decision for myself and my kids. My birth was unmediated so I was terrified of having a nurse shove their hand inside me. AFTER I just had a whole baby. But I just prayed and let her do what she had to do. In order to prevent anything worse from happening if I didn’t let her. In the end I was fine. Healed up fine, and had a healthy baby boy ❤

Thankfully, i had an epidural, so when my doctor had to stick her hand in my poor uterus i didnt feel too much😅 all but one of my other 5 births have had bleeding issues. But God has always healed me beautifully (albeit slowly) and now number 7 is on the way🥰 Hopefully another fast, but not too fast delivery🤪
