The PDF is a .exe MYST. To easily counter it just active an option to windows to activate the files extension to be seen. Even if the files have a "PDF" Icon

I also recommend to change every password of every account you have. Change your bank ID too.

​@@maertenerwin1119 He's done that, thankfully. He fully reformated his computer, changed every password, froze all his cards. And then after that it took days to get all his recording software up and running again. I guess there's a lot of precise settings that need to be just so in order to maintain the video/audio quality he puts forth. Even while waiting for a response from google he was a very busy man. Preparing to have things up and running again as soon as he had his channel back.

Yes, you can better inspect the PDF beforehand. The moment you execute it though, it's hard to stop. If it steals your session tokens, does that last even after you turn off the computer? Maybe an immediate shutdown would help, but I'm not sure.

@ the moment you open the file.exe . It sent a message to the hacker telling you have open it. so he can use the exploit of the Trojan inside to launch your navigator in debugging mode without you know it. So he can download your navigator cookie and password without double identification. It’s unfortunatly too late.

Really sorry that happened to you Myst. I can only imagine the frustration and anxiety you went through during this situation. Glad you were able to get the channel back in the end! You were one of the my main fgo content creators I watched as I started out playing the game. And ultimately one of the inspirations for me to try my hand at making some YT videos too! So hearing about this was definitely a shock. Just want to say, I appreciate the overall candor you displayed with telling us how things happened. Hopefully it will help others avoid similar scenarios in the future.
