For those new/unaware: 6:29 Not only does it show you the range in the values, but if you look towards the right of the stat block you will see Letters and numbers... Specifically "I" for Implicit, and "T#" for tier of stat. T1 stats are the highest tier threshold. You will see on that item an I, a Tier 1 and two Tier 3's. Item stats are arranged into 3 categories: Implicits (the stat that is unique to that kind of item eg. Dualstring Bows firing an additional projectile, or a Topaz Ring having Lightning Resistance), Prefixes and Suffixes. By default an item can possess a limit of 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes. Having more stats of higher value in better tiers is what makes an item worth more than another item. In this case, its a Tier 3 "adds # - # physical damage" prefix, Tier 2 "Grants # life per enemy hit" suffix, and a Tier 3 "+# to accuracy rating _and_ 15% increased light radius" suffix. They put so much quality of life into the game that wasn't present in POE. Like the real-time changes to stats by holding shift over nodes in the Passive tree, as well as the enhanced tooltips that allows you to mouse over underlined terms to see their definitions, are game changers.

Hi ! Love your videos Just to clarify something... I may be wrong, and I hope so, but I realy think the %spirit on the Sceptre is only applied to the Sceptre. So +4% spirit on it would give you on your 300 spirit build... +4 spirit... and not +8 (300-146=154 ; 154/146*100=105.5 ; 105.5*1.04=109.72). Still good, but not that amazing.

Carry Elemental charms with you, it's a waste on an inventory slot but it's easy to swap on the go if you come across something doing particularly high elemental damage of one type or another.

Elemental charms, like potions, have 0 charges when you equip them so you have to go back to town to use the well anyway.

You can "reload" charms by swapping them one at a time and refilling them at the well. Takes ages but you can use them to hotswap in battle if you do that. Idk if this has changed in patch but i did this a few days ago with great success.

Helmets can get spirit on them from corrupting using vaal orbs, amulet gives spirit mods and gets them as a magic or rare mod, chest pieces can get it as a magic or rare mod , quality increases sceptre spirit, quality on reservation gems reduces their spirit costs, unique boots that reduce reservation cost of minions and a shield that gives 50. Both uniques can fit into a witch or merc build and cost ruffly 4-10 exalts. Glhf

@derpderpington127 I have not traded anything other than to sell some stuff bud... Crafting isn't that difficult. Trading is a waste of currency for the most part. I have built scepters worth 100 ex for an alchemy orb and 2 exalts. Ide recommend not trading until way into endgame for the most part and until your more knowledgeable and the market volatility stops.

​@derpderpington127well, it's trading or crafting unlike Diablo where you probably have to kill something a thousand times to find what you're looking for and then once you find it, you can like reroll a couple of stats in this game it's designed in the way where no matter how much you farm. Eventually, you can probably get what you want because of the currency system. It's still all gambling but you're both farming and you have an alternative way to get what you're looking for and trading is just the icing on the cake for those who have the least amount of time or don't want to engage with the crafting system to be able to get what they want by just giving it off to those who do. Literally in the first game the value of the chaos orbs was because they could take a rare that you don't like and reroll it into something you possibly do like. And that's why it was like the best value currency for most things in this game because they changed chaos orbs. I'm noticing it's exalted orbs and I can see why. Even though I've been trading mine away for the things that I've wanted pretty much magic items with the two Bay stats that I want and I just try to upgrade it from there (I'm a fire demon witch and I don't need max health and for some reason Max health seems to be like the easiest random stat to get) And it keeps messing up my items. So I just keep using my blues that have like one beneficial stat plus health Regen. But every time I upgrade them to rare I keep getting plus health and it's pissing me off 😂

I’ve done King of the mess twice now with two different characters and didn’t receive a spirit gem. I am struggling hard-core with the final boss of act 1 with witch. My original character is Monk and I couldn’t do the final boss in act two because I have one spirit gem.

You can repeat areas to farm skill gems... I had both Wind Dancer and Herald of Thunder unlocked in Act 1. Tried them both, but Herald didn't contribute much damage at lower levels, so I stuck with Wind Dancer... didn't go back to Herald of Thunder until I unlocked more spirit and could have both active.

@P4wnyhof I didn't farm farm farm. I partially repeated the level once. Every area that drops skill gems does it every run. A steamer posted about this. I tried it and it worked. I couldn't believe how easy it was to get extra gems if you want them.

Just make sn alt and get a new spirit gem, put it in inventory, relog and vupti.....you got a new spirit gem. Take like 30 min to do.

Keep your exalted orbs and use the trading!! The trading is your best friend and will easily net you tons of cash and tons of great items. Trading with other players is a much easier way to get what you want vs trying to farm them early game. I was able to get a pretty solid yellow kit very early game (act 2) for 2 exalted orbs and it carried me for a full act and then some. Its tempting to use and exchange the exalts during the early game but you can get a lot of value for them since they are extremely useful late game. You have to find a balance and stock up quite a bit, but its doable and makes life a lot easier!!

0:32 He's not lying. Spirit gems are now dropping an abundance in act 3 but all through act 2. I still pretty much lived off the one I got from act 1 and I think you got a random one in that too somewhere but by then I didn't need it cuz I was pretty sure about what build I was going for. And I got so many support gyms in act one like so many but rarely any skill gems same all through act 2. So a friend ended up giving me a bunch of theirs. Now I'm an act 3:00 and I'm literally swimming in all three 😂 well I technically now I'm in act 1 cruel difficulty. I got to the first town and took a break. I'm watching a movie But yeah, it looks like you're pretty much locked into whatever build you're going for until about act 3 and then by the time you finish act 3 you might literally have just enough gold to respec into whatever you want. And if you held on to all your exalted orbs, you might be able to trade for whatever gear that you want to if you're not solo. Self-found. I am happy that in Early Access that a lot of the uniques are cheap because the one unique to make my build come online. I'm a demon witch fire demon witch the armor costed me one exalted or b and it pretty much makes the build work without that one gear piece. The build is nowhere near as good as it should be. And the only thing I don't like is that it feels like the demon form is only viable because of that armor piece and not on its own. Or you will have to take the node that kepts how many stacks you get and just use it as like a slight buff but even then it feels just like a decent weapon equipped. It doesn't feel like a an incredibly well-crafted weapon. Like if you uncap your stacks, that's when it feels like it's worth sacrificing a weapon. But I have a feeling that will change as soon as they fix all the bugs with the shape-shifting. I don't care that we lose our weapons. I do think that we should get Spirit that scales off our level. That way we can go with a minion build cuz it's clear they intended for you to play with fire minions with the fire demon, or instead of capping it at 10:00 that they cap it at a much higher number and you still have to kind of build the way that I'm building but just not as excessive. I have almost 100 HP regen a second and I can get up to about 75 to 80 stacks without losing health at all. But then after that even though my damage is ramping up very quickly so is a health. Regen and I can probably stay for about 150 seconds now so 150 stacks. But now it genuinely just feels like my damage ramps up and it scales with health regen because the longer I can stay transformed the more damage I'm dealing

Normally you would be right but if you have enough rarity increase you have a change for spirit gems to drop. Since I started, I have gotten 5 and I have yet to finish the campaign.

this sounds a bit wrong.. or maybe because the order we don contents is not the same? i just finished that lost city area and just in my gem stash i have several lvl 1, lvl 6 and lvl 7.. so if i have found 6 spirit gems by the time you have found 2.. somethings off here.. they are probably more rare then normal gems.. but im pretty sure they dont only drop from marked bosses/sidequests.

Support gems are the main (and maybe the only) reason for overpowered builds. Merc even has a whole Ascendancy path dedicated to them. Getting more support slots is paramount.

7:17 4% more == +4 spirit actually. Most of the mods have tiers and you can have multiple tiers available based on item level. So you can roll +31% on 61 item level scepter, but "maximum possible" is +50% ._.

Don't need to wait for the level one spirit gem. do another character. it takes around an hour to get there with a fast class(ranger). I too picked the wrong one. Be sure to pick a different one for every char, this way you'll get them all.

unfortunately, when looking at how an item rolled, and showing its range, it only shows the range of that specific attributes bracket. in other words, if the item has 25 life on it and you look at the range it might say 15-25 hp is what it could roll, its a perfect roll, but its in that specific bracket only. the item coulda also rolled a higher bracket, like 26-50 hp

Ich hatte weder Winddancer noch Herald of Thunder genommen weil ich dachte, Poison ist sicher voll stark. Aber kurz darauf habe ich einen zweiten bekommen. Der erste den man garantiert bekommt, hat ja das kleinstmögliche Level aber man findet auch noch so welche die dann ein höheres Level haben. So konnte ich auf Herald of Thunder wechseln. Further on : "Theyll drop more Frequent in Act 3", still in first minute.. and at the end of that minute "They drop left right and center" (farther in the game).. So.. yes, I did watch.. You/we may have hampered yourself with a choice for a limited time but calling that "ruining" a char is.. ..pleasing the YT Algo with exaggerations, I know. People somehow love to watch vids with titles like that, which is honestly sad.. And dont get me wrong, the tips you give are helpful and I still enjoy the video itself for the useful infos and more. Its just that SESATION!!!alism thats ALL WRONG with YT-Titles (ofc not limited to this media) that gets me everytime..

You should slap on a crossbow for your second weapon set and use galvanic shards in place of lightning arrow for bossing! The weapons will auto switch when using the skills. It melts with several rod uses around the boss.

@rpscorp9457 when im used to po1, this doesn't go on your hotbar and buffs do not show on your overlay which is off by default. Had no idea I had to right click to enable. I put it at the bottom of the skill slot and never looked at it again. I went and pushed campaign.

Not true, spirit gems have a random drop. I got two as well before your got your second one.

There -is- a slight chance something might drop one as well, I lucked out and got a spirit gem drop in the first area of Act 2. But the only thing you can rely on concerning RNG is that you can't rely on it.

love it when you get a level 60 item drop with stat numbers equal to level 10 items...really?! You should not get a level 60 item with a stat of 12 on it.

I’ve wasted loads of good stuff not understanding what they do or are. The descriptions are very confusing for newbies, and pretty meaningless. The upgrade drop rate is ridiculously low, also only had about 4 orange drops, nearly finished a3. Very poor and disappointing. There should be an undo option before accepting the upgrade when fiddling and trying things out.
