re: Delerium on amulets. If you hold down alt in the passive tree, you can see the delerium combos needed for any given Notable passive. So you don't have to guess, you can pick exactly which one you want. The order matters when placing the delirium in the crafting slots.

When you hold Alt and hover over larger nodes in the passive tree, it will show you which type of Distilled item is required to anoint your amulet with those specific nodes.

I recommend using the tier waystone you are on for towers to get a easy map outta the way. Just use a base waystone for your tier level and dont modify it.

As far as "juicing" maps go, is it a good strategy to complete all the blank nodes around the towers first? That way youre essentially forcing as best as possible for the towers to buff your boss/event maps even further? Also, should i be saving those highly juiced maps for higher tier waystones? Im only on T4 right now so not sure if i should save my boss/irridated maps for later

If you die not only do you lose your waystone, you also lose all the tower buffs from that node. Wondering if there is any way to re-apply another tablet on the towers? Seems like if you struggle with maps and die, you can lose out on the special reward types for map events (delirium, breach, etc).

I reached endgame yesterday. My first time with this mapping thing, thanks for the guide. I have done 10 Tier1 maps and got my first atlas points. Got 6 tier 2 done so far. I am taking it easy using only blue maps but at my level 70, i find these low level maps rather easy so far. I did clear a tier 5 map I tried for fun, didn't see any real difference in difficulty.

Do you advise doing all the ascendancies before end game or later?

Your last set of 2 points (maybe even last 4 points depending on when you end Cruel Act 3) of ascendancy is after you start mapping, so you don't really have a choice. I mean I guess technically you could grind trials or campaign, but that's not worth it. Mapping helps you gain enough power to unlock the last half of your acsendancy, not the other way around.

Great info all around. Gives us newbros some direction from the get go. However I have nit been able to find decent ring upgraded for 1 ex. As soon as a ring has more than 2 useful stats theyre posted for 5 ex

Look for amethyst rings by putting " implicit " chaos resist into the item filter. Amethyst always has chaos resist which is the hardest thing to get. And it's still a useful ring even with only a couple good mods. Those are the rings I bought for 1-3 ex oncei got to maps and started struggling

Is there anyway to get back events if you die on a map? Or is the map infinite and you’ll find events again? Trying to see if eventually you run out of map events.

when i reached end game, bought 3x waystones X and never went out of em, im not some uber duper 2k exalt build, just 20ex build gear + spec sorc. Atlas points are crucial tho

Before I get into endgame. I would probably farm the highest areas of cruel act 3 long enough to make sure that I have good starter gear for maps (waystones). Let's say that I finished the campaign at level 62 and I know that the level of tier one maps are level 65. Well I would farm to get to level 65 along with looking for good starter gear. Then when I have that I would start mapping. I agree that I will want to unlock a hideout in PoE 2 ASAP. It is because with that hideout I will be able to use an alt for no other purpose other than to go through the dump tab (s) clearing them out of all of the things that I put in them over the course of mapping. This will mean that the second time going through the campaign will be faster because of that special alt. I will do this because the hideout is an account unlock that will allow any character on the account to go there.

after you clear it, go to a waypoint, on the right side it should have the hideout fleur de lis icon...click on that to travel to it and claim it

You don't have to farm waystones, you can buy them from the NPC that identifies your gear in the mapping area.

The best way to learn is to just start playing the maps. You figure a lot out yourself, then the questions you still have, ask chat, ask Google, or watch more vids. Vid like this is nice for answering a few questions I had even after getting to t5 maps, but it's impossible I think to read or watch anything and then be an expert unless you're some kind of Poe prodigy :D
