I think that in season 3 the rocket was going for tilted to kill singularity so she wouldn't make the zero point but they messed up and had to protect it from the vil stuff. Then they had to destroy the zero point to reset but one person had to get stuck in the loop until they fixed it which was us. However the numbers show there were others and the zero point is inevitable and is being looped so we are stuck until they find a way to fix us.
