I still can't get over how clever it is for this game to make the, "shield," be random scavenged items that we can easily pick-up and change on the fly; it's so much more effective to encourage us to use other types of shields, and/or try different kinds of skills, than any game that enforces durability system. And, of course, it fits so well with the game's theme and environment! This game's genuinely so cool.

Jacob's sentiment about travelling at around 9:00 strikes a chord with me. When I was younger I thought "yeah! I'm gonna get a job with enough vacation to just save up and take like 2 weeks to go to the French countryside and explore, expand my experiences, and it's going to be great." Now I ponder that sometimes and realize what a PAIN IN THE ASS it is to actually do it. Passport, booking to-and-return flights, getting travelling vaccinations, reserving a place to stay, figuring out how to even transport around, insurances for it all, and those are just *the bare minimum.* Otherwise you're dealing with travel agencies and guides, screeeeew that noise! I have enough shit at home to keep me occupied. Having said that, he is talking about domestic travel and that to me is a whole different beast. Roadtrips are so much easier, especially with low standards. With no planning for 100 bucks you can fuel up, food up, drive 5 hours somewhere, and just sleep in your car for the weekend before coming home.
