In deed council is an institution of legal framework, the reason why our councils are taking all wrong decision is as because of the chaos and hooliganism ANC is presenting clearly now to rate payers. It seem though that, @my ANC are really loosing the pro-people agenda. Because with all the instability caused by politics in JOC, the most affected are the residents/rate payers. In our region we experiencing the same thing people of JOC are fed with by my ANC. Just disregard of the voters/residents/rate payers/business etcetera. Instability in council affects deeply.....

Dr Phalatse is courageous and pragmatic man, a true leader. FedEx. seems to be a very stubborn and close minded bunch. But ke it's probably down their "principles". I'm always skeptical and I'll admit, cynical whenever I hear people quote, "well in Europe they do things this way", "well in Denmark you're not allowed to.....". Africa must find its own solutions, instead of turning to the very same people responsible for most of Africa's problems! We must de-colonize our minds and unite as African people to create the future we want to see. European mindsets and ideas are not going to help us.

Totally get you. But I think it's simply a reference point of what has worked before. I think there is more context to her referencing Denmark than simply as a Western Country. Perhaps looking at their current political and legal landscape, that policy is actually allowing the mayoral team to actually complete it's term and therefore make a real difference on the lives of residents and voters.

I don’t agree on the sticking on a marriage contract. There has to be a level of flexibility as things develop especially on things that will not affect you archiving your desired outcome. Example if we agree on 3 kids before I marry my wife and during the marriage she suggest we cap at two there has to be a discussion and consideration for where we are at that point. Same in business to you cannot press a contract if it’s not benefiting you or those you intent to serve.

The question about whether some South Africans are ready for a white president or not is in this day and age in our land is sickening. Because, among other things, suggest black people are not capable of expanding their understanding of challenging situations and look beyond color and gender when it comes to an individual who is capable coming from a political party that has an established track record of delivering in the region/local governments it controls like the DA does. I'm sure leaders in the DA, black or white know that not investing in the majority of the South African population (black people) spell suicide for the country's future, let alone the political party. Apartheid died because it did just that. I also don't think white political individuals have to walk around shirtless wearing lion's teeth to prove that their political mission embraces and will benefit black people and the rest. It is sad to see young academics like Sizwe so weight down by race paranoia. The nation expects the young who were born to take the country high up to levels it has never been politically, economically and socially.
