@9:08 Yes! Just press Q. And 3 in W for early game. I keep seeing all this "Smolder sucks" crap and it's people simply not spamming (and stacking) his abilities and they do awful damage. He does seem worse in Bot though, needs the levels. You win early game as Smolder and the scaling keeps you ahead late.

I'm still convinced he sucks but you can make him work now. As for adc I can't imagine a scenario where I would prefer smolder over any other adc before 50+ min.

225 stack is a huge power spike. Melt all kind of tank but most important for adc: kill secure.

I think crit is the way to go as well. He scales so well with it. Hes a teamfight champ and at some point a q auto nearly one shots anyone with 2k health on a 2 sec cd. Tanks get burnt and kited well cuz navori keeps your e up pretty well.

Secondary tree can vary a ton tbh: tri, boots vary, manamune, Spear of shojin, terminus, hydra

I play smolder with the same runes and items but i like to build rapid fire second items bcs the range the item gives u works on ur q bcs it is an auto attack

u go rfc third because the items doesnt have a good synergy until u get fully upgraded q. its better to have navori's cd reset and stats than rfc.

do you need precense of mind with this build? cause you basically have no mana problems with essence reaver. or is that crucial for early game and laning before you have essence reaver complete. couldn't be triumph or overheal better here?

Just for early lane is worth it, if you fall behind and have to base because you are oom early you lose out on stacks.

smolder is the probably the best champ besides miss fortune for new players, his kit is simple and rewards you for hitting abilites and getting kill on minions, the perfect way to teach new players what they need to be doing in this very complicated game.
