the issue with Viktor is that his former best skin (deathsworn) that every Viktor main bought did not retain all the features and VFXs, like the green flames around the neck and the staff so yeah, the 1350RP skin that many ppl bought now has the features of a 950 skin

Vel'Koz or Xerath. If you don't want to play either of them, you have to ban Viktor or suffer the consequences. He is Exodia levels of overpowered right now.

Akali eradicates Viktor. Yasuo and Yone can bully him a lot.

as other ppl have said: xerath and velkoz. they outrange him, if they are good you cant do much as viktor. you can only skill gap them but on equal skill they counter you since you can not kill them, you can not out wave clear them and they can keep poking you since they outrange you. yasuo and yone are painful to deal with. early levels are good but the longer the game goes the harder it gets. late game you have to be super careful. and if the yone or yasuo know what they are doing you cant punish them too hard early. so these are playable but hard matchups. same goes for akali. sylas can be tricky but its a skill matchup id say. same for lux. basically anything hypermobile fucks you up late game. anything that outranges you tends to beat you in lane.

edit: noone plays it midlane anymore so it rly doesnt matter too much but irelia is just wiping the floor with viktor. youu cant do shit in that matchup outside of maybe lvl 1-3. after minute 5 you basically only play to survive.
