I am a Syrian Child: In March 2011, protests broke out in Syria which have led to arguably the worst refugee crisis since World War Two. While millions of the Syrians affected by the uprising remain internally displaced, the majority have fled the country, seeking refuge in neighbouring Jordan and Lebanon.
According to official figures from UNICEF, children currently account for just over half of the total number of refugees. These children are now at the real risk of becoming a 'lost generation'.
"If we don't provide them with education, they're lost. This is the generation that's going to re-build their country in a few years. They are the future. The children feel that they can't dream, that they can't hope. They are the future generation who are supposed to re-build. The children feel their horizons and hopes are limited," says Soha Bsat El Boustany, UNICEF, Lebanon.
In this film, children from across Syria who are now in Lebanon and Jordan reflect on what little they remember of the lives they left behind and the difficulties of receiving an education in their current situation.

Syrian kids look very young for their age but they are so mature when they talk about their suffering. God bless them. I hope they can return soon in peace and harmony and that they'd be able to get over their trauma and achieved their dreams. I wis I could meet them one day.

SuperAdmirerOf OmKalthoum They sure do...i wonder how they are doing now. Are they still living in the god forsaken places or did they get better homes. Are they still going to school and have they made new friends. How I wish i can do something however small to help them

Kael Barcelos - you can't watçh an Islamic documentary and mention Jesus (peace be upon him) as a god for your information we believe in Jesus peace be upon him as a prophet in Islam not god like in Christianity and in the Qur'an Jesus is mentioned 155 times if I am not mistaken more than he is mentioned in the bible. I was Christian too but found the gift of Islam 3 years ago inshallah be careful brother you are a Christian and you're a part of a religion that was brought to you in a form of slavery you're not liberated

Lovely and beautiful people though no fault of you own but greed politicians and coalition forces destroy their lives. Can't help but cry and prayers to GOD that Syrians will be alleviated to this war entanglement. Remember GOD loves you all.

OMG these children really put my pathetic daily worries into perspective.... I'm so utterly in awe of their resilience, their maturity and their strength to come thru what they've been through in their short lives already.... I'm 41 and each and every one of them has been thru more than I'd ever imagine and I'm truly humbled. May God bless all the young survivors everywhere, keep them safe and let them live lives with no more pain. With love from NZ 💖💖💖

a few months ago maybe even over a year, i browsed my on demand list of tv programs and came across this one documentary from a different channel where this little girl was asked what she wanted to be when she grows up, and she said architect because she wants to rebuild where she lives or somthing of that nature. I cried so much after that and maybe i recorded that with my phone but who knows if i did or not but i tried searching here and came across this video eventually. I am so glad i did and it made me cry just as much, maybe with the help of alcohol but that doesnt defeat the purpose that the message was loud and clear. Most kids are spoiled little brats they don't know how good they have it and they got to toughen up over not having it their way most of the time. Adults like me can learn a thing or 2 from watching this as well and i havent been eating out as much as before and hope to not freaking forget about credit card payments as much or at all. Please use your money wisely with the occasional treat of any kind.

+exiiiceee26737 first of all, only extremists do a distinction between shia and sunni, second, shia is a minority in syria, and beside everyone shia, yazidi, sunni, christian, jews and so on, flie the bomb from the assad regime and daesh. Bombs and kamikazes attacks doesn't do a distinction between groups.
