It’s been 11 months and while I can say that I am doing better, nothing will ever be the same. I have found that reaching out to others is very therapeutic. Hi John. I came across your video where you were sharing your grief and loss. I lost my husband 11 years ago, and for me, it feels like yesterday. I miss him every day, and the loneliness and pain is so deafening . It’s really hard to understand at times , why we are going through this and sometimes I want this pain to stop. I did however lean into my church family. My faith and my community have kept me comforted. I have always had someone to reach out and call. It helps to relieve the pain, but only temporary. Mom, it's tough anytime a parent has a child pass no matter their age. There's nothing anyone can say, except we are sorry for your loss. You can take comfort that your child does rest with the Lord. The Bible says we go back from where we come from and that's to God, and He sorts us from there. My younger cousin and his wife just laid their 20 tear old son to rest about a week and a half ago. Very good video John, and good advice about how to be of help to others who are grieving. Back in the 80s my grandmother passed away. A friend from Sunday school visited the funeral home. She was in tears, and all she said was, "I dont know what to say." That meant so much. Of course there are Scripture verses to comfort us, and Im extremely grateful for God's Word. But it's also good to just share in someone's grief. Weep with those who weep. I hope you and all those who have lost loved ones recently, have a blessed Christmas!

Saw John perform this same night so yes he's alive. I also wanted to say what a wonderful ambassador of grief support John is. The Lord is most definitely speaking through John to grieving people all over the country and it is beautiful and inspiring to see the love he has for his lovely Alisha, but it is even more powerful to see what he is doing through his own grief. God bless you John, and remember you are not just a human being, but a human doing!!!

If some one would have told me you would be helping me get thru this more than difficult time in my life all these years later, I would not have believed it. Maybe anything really is possible?!? My wife passed away a few months ago so this will be my first Christmas alone and without her. The one thing I am not alone in is that other people are in the same situation. If you do know someone like us then reach out and just see how they are doing. Thanks John.

Take care friend. This will be my fourth Christmas alone after losing my wife too. God bless you through this first Christmas. Christ made it possible for us all to be resurrected and live as immortal souls with Him, if we choose. It will be a great day when you and your wife are together again, in the flesh. When my wife died, the best advice I heard was this. You can remember her all you want. Just try your best to learn, somehow overtime, not to miss her. It takes time, and I know its hard. You will heal like I did and its still alright to cry once in a while. Hang in there and remember, you are not alone going through all this.

It's good to see you alive and well!! It is a tough couple months to struggle through. I lost my wonderful Mother alittle over a year ago and my Father this past May. These holidays this year will not be celebrated, I cannot endure the heaviness of it all. God bless you, Mr. Schneider!!
