Tom Wopat was a neighbor of mine, though a few years ahead of me. First time I saw him perform was in a local community college production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Jesus Christ Superstar back in the ‘70s. Later, when Dukes of Hazard was still on network TV, he’d occasionally bring John Schneider home with him. One summer they did a concert set at a local county fair. Tom was the clown and John had such a gentlemanly demeanor. Too bad they’re trying to memory-hole the show.
