It's not theoretically possible to predict the future because nothings there yet. We are in present day making our own desicions. Predicting the future would be knowing generations into everyone's future families that make current day population. The prophet would witness disasters, philosophy and human kinesiology. Example (2500 or 3500A.D) BUT, Nostradamus's Les Prophéties. I started to read after the book sold more online due to the fact it was suspected there was a quantrine to do with Queen Elezibeth the 2nd passing and The Royal Family. Also, princess Diana dying and being a partial Prophecy I started to think Paul Walkers passing on Hercules street. I looked for Hercules in Les Prophéties and found this... Notradamus- Les Prophéties. 942 poetic quatrains allegedly predicting future events (Century X:27) "Through the fifth one and a great Hercules They will come to open the temple by hand of war: One Clement, Julius and Ascanius set back, The sword, key, eagle, never was there such a great animosity". North American (eagle) Paul walker was working on the seventh Fast And Furious movie (through the fifth). When, with financial adviser Roger Rodas (sword&key) left from co-hosting a charity event (Temple) for a 2013 Philippines Typhoon. They died on Hercules st. (a great Hercules) Santa Clarita California by car crash. The weather was mild (clement) and the natural disaster caused both to fundraise for typhoon which caused aprx. 6600 deaths and $2.98 billion in damages(war). They both died (a great animosity).

As a monkey island player, I had so much fun doing this tall tale, it took me right back to my favourite game in my childhood. It's fun to see how many people absolutely hating this tall tale, it just shows how different we as gamers are now. Monkey island was all about two things, jokes and figuring out how to not be stuck in the game. That was back when people had an attention span enough to read/registrer the jokes, and keep trying different stuff until you got unstuck. This tall tale was waaaay easier than monkey island, yet people just lose interest and get bored the second the answer isn't screaming them in the face. Gamers in 2023 definitely wouldn't enjoy something like monkey island when there's so many other games out there which would give you that instant gratification release of dopamine. I'm glad they did this old tribute to the old game, but it's definitely not a strategic business move, nor is it improving the gaming experience for the majority of players.

Yeah, no game designer in their right mind DARES make people use their brains nowadays. Just look at the God Of War: RAGNAROK "puzzles". As soon as a modern gamer realises that they have to use their brain before a dopamine hit, they yell "THEY ARE PADDING OUT GAMETIME, LAZY DEVS". It's honestly heartbreaking in a way.

People hate it? I thought people were just neutral on it since it's obvious they put a lot of work and love into it, just that no one really cares about a point and click game from before most of the player base was born. I guess I can see why someone might be mad at it though since they are putting time into a TT that people will play once for commendations and never again when they could be updating seasons and patching numerous bugs. As for attention span though... Yeah those don't exist. But I'd say it's more of a personality thing now since I've seen a lot of lore lovers who aren't impacted by today's tik toks and short videos everywhere. It's just that SoT doesn't really draw those out onto social media where you hear the opinions. People enjoying themselves tend to stay quiet because we only speak out when we have something to complain about.

Nobody did. I did it with my gally crew which made it a bit more enjoyable. We ended up spending 2 hours in the circus trying to beat each others times. Imagine fixing bugs and performance issues smh.
