I am back! Halfway through summer in Slovakia | I am making home-made tomatoes from my garden

Hi Everyone!
Yes, I am back. I know it has been a while since I posted a video. Lots of reasons but most of them are for my personal development :)
But here I am again, this time sharing you how I make my own tomato sauce from scratch.
We have a very warm summer this year here in Slovakia and our Tomato harvest are just crazy, I can not even keep up with them.
It is a long process but it is really rewarding at the end knowing we can have a very tasty and wholesomely healthy tomato sauce for the whole year.

Hi Kim. So happy that you are back. I have tomatoes in my garden too. Yesterday I eat one of the new tomatoes. And right after I eat a tomato from the supermarket. The last one didn't taste of anything. So yes. There are really a big diffent. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰😊

Hi Kimberly, good to see you again. I hope you are well. My summer here in Japan has been and still is very, hot and very humid. Just yesterday, it was +41C! Too hot! Growing your own vegetables and preserving food is such a positive, healthy lifestyle. I’ve mostly been growing tomatoes and okra this summer. Plus a variety of flowers to give my garden a rest this year. I’ve never been to Slovakia, but have always wanted to visit. My dad’s family was from Slovakia. Keep well.

@@ChasingKimberly I’ve learned from farmers here in Japan, to regularly remove the extra leaves below the okra flowers and fruit (yes, okra is actually a fruit!), and to also grow 2-3 okra plants together in a group. You will get extra okra this way and discourage so many insects from being attracted to the plant. Good luck!

Second, my mom making "lazy" tomato sauce, just put in whole into pressure cooker and it separate water and skin... or something like that :-D (we also have black tomatos :-D ). And last thing - my summer is... sitting at home. Im going to surgery, hearth surgery and i get covid, so im still home and waitning for new term for my surgery. And im happy u are ok Sorry for long post and probably bad gramma :-D still learning.

Good you are alive and working :-) What about zucchini? Do you have some good recipe for preserving it? And second question is about pasta. Don't you make your own pasta? It is quite easy, although it takes some time. As for myself, I find mongolian way the most accessible, as in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXm8an-nf518a6c . Of course, these noodles can be boiled the same way as spaghetti, and also dried, stored, and boiled later.

My husbband can make own pasta from scratch but too laborious specially for me. I think it needs a special skill to be able to master it 😂 Zucchini I have tons off them, but i havent try preserving them just consuming them as much as we can through summer.

​@@ChasingKimberly You could share you favourite zucchini recipe in next video :-) As for pasta - there are many ways to make it, and some are easier then others. But I admit that I also make it only on special occasions, and normally we eat bought one. But I think it is good to know how to make it; it is then up to you how much you use this skill.

Bryndzové halušky are the best ... now in Czechia we have a few goats, and I am making my own bryndza from goat milk (should be sheep, but they are far less productive and I would need more of them). My wife's father was "polovník", so in their home I was always given meals from deer, boar etc. And they taught me to make the best "klobásy".
