Great to see you're back on YT. Your channel always seemed different to most others, particularly with the quality of footage, explanations of each track day/race session you did and I found the product reviews were very interesting. I was never very fond of the race reports where you weren't taking part, but I'm sure they appeal to others. I'm glad you've found a way of moving forward; I know you really wanted the MCN position and would have done an excellent job there. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to with this fresh start, and impressed you're doing the Masters along with the full time job.

@@markpearce5793 thank you very much, Mark.. this is a very, very nice comment and some great feedback. I totally agree with the race vlogs where I was basically doing areporter job, Those videos were mainly for the club racing community …. However they never did well and you have a very good point, because they seemed more like a summary than an actual race video .. I was gutted about the Mcn role because I thought I could have done that job with ease… and I will be doing more of the stuff I used to do in 2019 and 2020 which were my tech videos and deciphering complicated upgrades into simple words for the general public.. I guess I need to do more of what people want to see and educational stuff and not very very long videos which are either only about me or a particular race-team, as that can get a little bit boring and hence gets less traction … Thanks again , I really appreciate your support
@markpearce57932 сағат бұрын
@@ChasingTenths hi Abhi, thanks for your reply. I will just clarify about the race meet videos. There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with them; well produced and edited, but because they’re about people I don’t know anything of, it’s not interesting to me. I guess a few others felt the same if the view numbers were different. Perhaps you can start a second channel to show them as they might appeal to a slightly different audience than your current channel. Depends if you can find enough time 😁

Their loss. Your blend of enthusiasm, competence, authenticity and crucially lack of commercial conflicts of interest is much appreciated. Welcome back mate. Smart move doing the course, so expensive, but it will show to future employers how committed you are to changing into this profession. But...is there really a future in print? The YT channel will reach much more like minded losers like us i think. Your enthusiasm for your topic is what counts. Waffling makes people turn off, but your video editing is excellent and your knowledge is evident. All i would recommend is possibly trying to get test bikes from dealers? Borrow your mates' bikes and do a mini review? Try and release a 15 min video a week to maintain the following? Visit local workshops and manufacturers? Even all that would count toward your resume for future jobs surely? Waffle over

@@ajs3046 that’s a very very wonderful and constructive comment. Print is definitely on decline, but print in electronic format has more subscribers for magazine . For example before they could only sell magazines country wide , now with subscription fees, they can electronically sell magazines world wide , there is an audience who reads and written reviews are definitely more detailed, some like that … in terms of all the points you have mentioned , I am going to adopt every single one of them, makes perfect sense that … Huge appreciation to you for recommending those things They all make absolute sense
