I have to say to the video crew that this is truly a beautifully made piece that captures the heart and passion of the Audrain Newport Concours. I've been privileged to participate as a volunteer and judge at each year's event and it is a highlight of the year for me, reinforcing my love of motorsport. Each year I learn about new makes, models, and renditions of cars and motorcycles from around the world at this unique set of events. I'm still amazed at how few enthusiasts know about the Concours, but perhaps the best kept "secret" in the automotive world keeps crowds manageable and the experience relaxed.

We need a Concours D'Average. Cars that aren't valuable in money. But valuable in personal history and nostalgia. Regular cars that people remember seeing on the road when they were kids. For me it would be cars from the 60s to 80s. Those are the ones I remember. I think a show that includes cars like this would bring a lot of people. Especially if they aren't all perfect. Good driver quality, original or period correctly modified cars. I think it would be a great show. Who agrees with me? I bet if there are enough likes and replies, Donald can make something happen for us regular folks

Wonderful production quality. I love this channel and everything that’s done at The Audrain. Please put out another video that simply focuses on the wonderful vehicles at the concours. Not so much on all the events that lead up to Sunday. I want to see more cars. It looks like there was a Delahaye nominated for BIS and there was only a fleeting glance.

A 1934 Cadillac V16, but with Fleetwood coachwork that was never completed in the period because of the depression. The car's owner took the Fleetwood drawings and turned them into a real car! Very special indeed

I was wondering if the Audrain Concours event happened this year as I saw no promotion or videos like the last couple of years. Glad it happened but unfortunately this video did very little to bring it to anyone who is viewing it here on your channel. You really should improve coverage to memorialize these events as they are very good.

Ya know, this just isn't the same without the real enthusiasm Jay Leno brings to the event. You guys might have tried to get him there, i don't know. But he's not going to be around forever, and i think you should do anything you can do to get him to be a co host at the event, no better pair then Jay and Donald Osborn. Jay was a good promoter on getting the young people involved as well. Anyway please next year try to get him there!

Have to say, that's a pretty crappy video. I think you showed one or two pre-war cars, what's that all about? The coverage of the tour was terrible. I don't know who you think your audience is, but this was geared towards youngsters. Oh, that's right...
@SamNusbaum3 ай бұрын
Just in the tour section of the video, there was a 1932 Ford, a 1937 Packard Twelve 1508 Rollston Convertible Victoria, a Duesenberg Model SJ, a 1939 Bugatti Type 57, a 1939 Bugatti Type 57C, a Ford Model A, a 1913 Renault Type DP 22/24, and a 1934 Cadillac V16. I don't know how many more prewar cars could have gone into that section and still show the wide range of cars that were on the tour.
@normangensler73802 ай бұрын
@@SamNusbaum Wanting to pass on to the next generation is a desirable path forward, but the lack of depth in character and life experience hurts a quality performance. Get some presenters with a more substantive background, and you'll do better. Perhaps having Jay and Donald vet the youngster crowd you're choosing from would help, the personalities of the entitled museum owners' offspring is as appealing as wet socks.
@waynejones84813 ай бұрын
I don't know what made it the best show ever, it sure wasn't the video composition that I saw on KZbin. Rather boreing if I do say so! I've seen better productions where you spend more time with the cars and the 30 on 30 folk only saw one guy talk. Nope pretty piss poor production.

So much for the claimed 1000+ car turnout at the Cars & Coffee. In reality it was probably about 50-100 cars (most of which were gone after the first hour) in one of two small Easton's Beach parking lots, while the freshly paved, way larger, Second Beach lot was left completely empty. I even got a $40 parking ticket just to park in the only available lot at Third Beach, which was packed to the brim with 200 spectator cars. I think a good majority of the potential spectators were turned away with nowhere to even park, and the ones who managed to get a spot were ticketed. The one event you don't have to be part of the 1% to be able to afford to attend.
@MadMike9913 ай бұрын
For future reference, I think the Cars and Coffee at Fort Adams are the best. I have seen way more cars than that there on non Concours weekends. Also, for the cars from the Concours, you can see them for free after the Tour on Bellevue Ave in front of the Audrain ( 7:56)…

@MadMike991 Thats if you're comfortable shoving through a wall of people just to get a pinhole sized view
@chuckgilchrest56753 ай бұрын
@@MadMike991 The previous 2 years Cars and Coffee was cancelled due to rain events that would have turned Ft Adams into a sea of mud.. The reality of having 1000 cars on wet grass on the lawn of Ft Adams in the rain wasn't an option. So using paved parking at a waterfront location led to the Cars and Coffee being held at Easton's Beach. Challenging logistics and the smaller venue will be reviewed moving forward.
