OMW now he's in NYC 😋 that's really cool to travel all the time. I met a guy from NYC who owns a bagel place in SA, I actually just went to the bagel place (in SA we don't get bagels so I wanted to try it for the first time) so I asked him how he came up with the idea and he said he lives in NYC and SA. I was like "Should I move to NYC?" he told me no 😅 he said the vibe was grey or something along those lines. Like no one looks at you? I didn't really get what he meant. I don't want people to look at me 😂

i don’t want anyone to look at me but i also don’t want anyone around me haha. NY is cool in many ways. the architecture, alone, is worth experiencing. sculptures & statues built into the exterior structures, the glorious stained glass cathedrals, as well as just the overall big picture of everything jammed together. endless things to do, see, & eat. but it gets awfully humid during certain parts of the year. & it smells like urine. & they don’t recycle or use trash cans, they just dump giant piles of garbage along the street to be “taken care” of later. worth visiting, but i wouldn’t want to live there.

@@diyab1056Belief (expectation) is power regarding NYC. There are people living in NYC who are very happy because there is the possibility for certain experiences/opportunities unlike anywhere else and there’s this vibrant energy but you have to tap into it. You do have to have a certain mindset though. I live in a suburb of NYC and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else (unless it’s for part of the year).

My impression of NYC is just from movies and stuff and I have lots of NYC items like t-shirts but have never been to America 😅 my bro thinks it's weird but I read a really fun book on these 4 girls that lived in NYC when I was around 10 so it stuck with me

@@diyab1056 that’s not weird at all, it’s fun to have places we’ve visited in imagination through books or movies then actually go… that’s the way Barbados was for me…when I finally visited, it felt familiar. I moved to NYC after college, so lived there for over 10 years. Then I moved right outside NYC several years ago. Before I moved to NYC, I used to collect a paper they had called the Village Voice. I had a mini mountain stack of them.😅 The pandemic changed some things about NY but there is still sooo much to see and do. Again, one has to approach the NY lifestyle with confidence and I’d say “flow state” as Joseph talks about or it can be overwhelming. I saw moving about as an adventure…”what am I going to see today?”
